Well, it is true that the actor has ruled the industry for over two and a half decades; he unofficially showed signs of retirement from the industry. It is because Bollywood Badshah shifted his focus from acting to the business world. And at present, Shah Rukh Khan is earning from multiple sources besides working in the film industry. Let’s have a look at them.

Box Office

Although we don't have an exact picture of the share that Shah Rukh Khan earns from a film, we have learnt from sources that he makes significant earnings from his films. Also, in one of the Live Mint's reports, it was mentioned that Bollywood actors hold a proportion of the movie's share. This gives a clear picture that King Khan clarifies the exact amount of the profit before signing a movie contract.

TV Shows

It is well-known to everyone that Shah Rukh Khan started his acting career with the TV shows- Fauji and Circus. However, he stepped out of that industry very soon and tried his fate on the silver screen. Shah Rukh Khan has no personal interest in the small screen, so he often tries to keep himself out of it. But, in the mid of his career, he appeared in few reality shows such as Kaun Banega Crorepati- Season 3, Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hai? and Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout. Besides these, the actor has also made some promotional appearances in popular TV shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma among others

Wedding Performances

Indian weddings are like a festival celebration that people celebrate open-heartedly. But, have you ever wondered about inviting a popular Bollywood celebrity to your marriage ceremony? Probably, no. Well, it is not that difficult to invite them. You only need to spend a few crores for a special performance by such celebrities. For example, Shah Rukh Khan charges around 5 to 6 crores for a special appearance/performance in any wedding ceremony. This way, the king, besides earning an amount, can show his love for his fans. Production House

Initially, Shah Rukh Khan started his production house, Dreamz Unlimited, with the co-ownership of Juhi Chawla and Aziz Mirza. However, that production unit didn't succeed and was subsequently dissolved. Well, Khan's dream to launch his own production house allowed him to start a new production unit- Red Chillies Entertainment, with the support of his wife, Gauri Khan. Today, Red Chillies Entertainment is a profitable revenue source for SRK as it is well-equipped with a full-fledged VFX studio and advanced production equipment.

Share Holding

In many events, Shah Rukh Khan was seen in the promotional and PR events of KidZania, which is an interactive city for children. The actor was promoting the brand not because of his interests but due to his shareholding in ImagiNation Edutainment India Pvt Ltd. According to reports, SRK owns 26% shares in that company. Thus, it's a good source of revenue for King Khan.

Ownership of Kolkata Knight Riders

If someone wants to learn how to grow a diversified business empire, he should definitely learn from Shah Rukh Khan. Other than leading a successful acting career, king khan also owns IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR, being a reputed team in the Indian Premier League, has won the IPL title twice in 2012 and 2014, respectively. Notably, King Khan does not relate directly to the team; rather, his production house- Red Chillies Entertainment, holds a 55% stake in the team. Thus, the revenue adds to King Khan's kitty.

Besides acting and shareholding in business entities, SRK is one of the popular endorsers. It is because he draws hefty paychecks from top order companies, including Pepsi, Whirlpool, Nokia, Hyundai, Tag Heuer, Dish TV, Big Basket and Byjus. Some reports suggest that SRK charges around Rs 4-4.5 crore per day for an advertisement shoot. Other than these, SRK was also the brand ambassador for UAE tourism. However, his ambassadorship ended in starting months of 2022. These are some active sources with which our beloved actor King Khan earns revenue. His investment pattern is ideal for many of us who are looking to invest our hard-earned income. In fact, Shah Rukh Khan's identity as a whole is a good source of inspiration as he achieved everything on his own without begging for support from anyone. He turned all of his dreams into a reality and stood true to his dialogue: ‘Kisi cheez ko agar shiddat se chaaho to puri qaenaat use tumse milane mei jut jaati hai’. Shah Rukh Khan has achieved everything due to his astute mindset, which allowed him to take risks on sources that no one had ever thought of.
