Hashtags That Stormed Twitter in India

The new way of making news viral is to start a Hashtag on Twitter, and in a day or two, the news will be trending (only if it's worth it, though) . From Entertainment, Politics, Sports to memes, everyone comes on Twitter to see what’s been happening around them.  Many people often tweet a post using particular hashtags, and that’s how you can make a hashtag trend. Let’s look at the 4 popular hashtags that stormed Twitter in India, and people are still not over it. 1.  #JusticeforSSR  sushant Ankita twitter The sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput shook the entire nation but what followed was a series of debates and discussions on the hot topic ‘Nepotism’ . Many Bollywood actors like Kangana Ranaut came out in the open to blame the movie mafia gang for torturing Sushant so much that the actor had to give up his life.  Hashtags like #justiceforSSR, #SSRdeservesjustice, #warriors4SSR, #GlobalPrayers4SSR, #justiceforsushant, and #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput started trending, millions of people tweeted to demand justice for the actor, and this fight is still continuing on Twitter.    2.  #YoutubeVsTikTok This trend started when TikToker Amir Siddiqui posted a video about how TikTok is slowly coming to par with YouTube. Soon, people will start seeing TikTok as a permanent job just as they do for YouTubers. But this video didn’t really go down with Youtube fans. Things got sassier when popular YouTuber Carry Minati posted a video roasting Amir Siddique for comparing the two social media platforms. What followed was literally a battle on which one is better; though both the parties have their reasons to support YouTube and TikTok, we are vouching for PM Modi, who was unintentionally responsible for stopping the battle when he banned TikTok in India due to India’s border clashes with China.   Watch the viral video here:  [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKI56YUv-8s[/embed]   3.  #RasodeMeKonTha The hashtag that broke the Internet was definitely #RasodeMeKontha. The maker of this hilarious song, Yashraj Mukhate, became an overnight star. Everyone went gag over the song, and the Internet was filled with memes.  Yashraj made a rap out of a clip from the Star Plus show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, and even the makers and actors of the show were impressed with Yashraj’s work.  The hashtag became so popular that the makers took advantage of the situation and announced the show's sequel, Saath Nibhanna Saathiya 2. Well, that’s Crazy! The term was originally used in 2006 by Tarana Burkee, a social activist, to raise awareness of women who have been abused. Later, In 2017, Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano tweeted accusing producer Harvey Weinstein of sexually assaulting her.  Soon after, the movement reached India, and several Bollywood actresses came out in the open and accused leading actors, directors, and Producers of sexually abusing them. Well, we support the cause of #MeToo and completely stand by it.
