The country is fighting a ferocious battle with covid-19, and every citizen is doing their bit to provide assistance to the needy. Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Akshay Kumar are helping either by providing covid resources or donating to any foundation working for covid relief.
Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt has partnered with Faye D’Souza to provide relevant and important information such as valid phone numbers of hospitals, medications and doctors. She has also shared city-wise contacts of NGOs who are working for covid relief. The female actor has also made a covid resources highlight on her Instagram account so that anyone who is in need can access the information hassle-free.

Sonu Sood
Sonu Sood has been working like a real-life messiah. The actor in the first wave of the pandemic helped thousands of migrant workers reach their home. Now, when the country faces a shortage of oxygen cylinders, ventilators and covid medications, the actor has launched a Telegram channel named ‘India Fights With Covid’ and responding to all the SOS messages and connecting the needy to the appropriate hospital, oxygen suppliers and medicine suppliers.

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna
Akshay Kumar donated one crore to the Gautam Gambhir Foundation, an initiative of former cricketer Gautam Gambhir to help the needy with food, medication and oxygen supplies. Apart from the donation, Akshay’s wife and female actor, Twinkle Khanna, posted an update on her Twitter handle that they have successfully procured 100 oxygen concentrators.

The legendary singer has contributed INR 7 lacs to the Chief Minister Relief Fund, Maharashtra. The relief fund has been set up to accept donations from different organisations, individuals and institutions and direct the collected fund for providing covid relief in the state.

Recently, a video went viral on Instagram where actor Salman Khan can be seen distributing food kits to frontline workers. According to reports, these kits include snacks, mineral water, a pack of biscuits, and tea.

John Abraham has handed over his social media accounts to NGOs that the actor has partnered with across the country to connect covid resources to the needy.
Suneil Shetty
The Hera Pheri actor has also joined hands with Feed My City, an initiative of the KVN foundation to provide free oxygen concentrators to the needy.
