Inside Edge 3 – A Clash of Power Mongers in the Sporting Arena

The Mumbai Mavericks, a T20 cricket team in the Powerplay League, are the subject of Inside Edge. Inside Edge is a narrative that holds nothing back and overtly puts everything in place. The plot is set in a world of conflicting interests. It is precisely a dog-eat-dogs scenario where selfishness is almost a morality. Further, sex, wealth, and authority are merely means to a logical end. The struggle for survival is the key where the strong dominate the fragile. The television show is split into three parts. The first season premiered on July 10th, 2017. The package's second capsule debuted on December 6, 2019. The third leg has appeared on December 3, 2021. Here's a quick rundown of Inside Edge – 3.

Plot

The drama in 'Inside Edge 3' is amplified, with bigger stakes and rivalry between Bhaisahaab and Vikrant Dhawan and their desire for supremacy. This season picks off where the previous one left off, with the Mumbai Mavericks having been barred from the PPL after their owners were found to be engaged in unethical betting and match-fixing. Consequently, team co-owners Mantra Patil (Sapna Pabbi) and Zarina Malik (Richa Chadha), including a few other teammates accused of perpetrating the felony, are on the radar. As time passes, it will become evident whether this power struggle magnifies to a broader spectrum or sanity prevails.

Reception

The performance and storyline of the series have received considerable appreciation. Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha,   Siddhant Chaturvedi, Angad Bedi, Tanuj Virvani, Sayani Gupta have all excelled in their defined roles. The series has been described as suitably cast and with superb technicalities.

Criticism

This third season of Inside Edge, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment, generally lives up to expectations. However, there are far too many protagonists and subplots to monitor. Some characters, like Renuka Shahane's Prime Ministerial performance, have a lot of potentials but don't get nearly much screen exposure.

Conclusion

'Inside Edge 3', like prior seasons in the franchise, has more to offer than just the ups and downs of cricketing fixtures. If you've already spent time viewing the first two seasons, you won't be disappointed with the 3rd edition.
