‘Mastermind’ Aamir Khan Ji Is Behind Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha Trend: Kangana Ranaut

Recently, through her Instagram account, Kangana Ranaut shared a story claiming that Aamir Khan himself has curated the negative trend around his upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha. The movie is an official remake of the 1994 Hollywood movie Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks in the lead role. Currently, this movie is facing calls for a Boycott on different social media channels. Adding her response to call to boycott, Kangana Ranaut shared a note on her Instagram stories. She wrote, “I think all the negativity spread around upcoming release Laal Singh Chaddha is skillfully curated by mastermind Aamir Khan Ji himself, this year no Hindi movies have worked (barring one exception of a comedy sequel Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2) only south movies deeply rooted in Indian culture or with local flavour have worked, a Hollywood remake would not work anyway… . But now they will call India intolerant, Hindi films need to understand the pulse of audiences as it is not about being a Hindu or Muslim… even after Aamir Ji made Hinduphobic PK or called India intolerant, he gave the biggest hits of his life… please stop making it about religion or ideology, it’s takes away from their bad acting and bad films”.  Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are playing the lead role in Advait Chauhan-directed Laal Singh Chaddha. The actors are featuring together for the third time in their careers. Earlier, they featured in Talaash and 3 Idiots. Other lead characters in the movie involve Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in important roles.  Ranaut’s comments came when the social media world was already flooded with tons of posts sharing the call to boycott Aamir Khan’s upcoming movie. As per this, the call to boycott is trending with the hashtag- BoycottLaalSinghChaddha. Responding to the criticism, Aamir Khan in his recent interview said, “That Boycott Bollywood… Boycott Aamir Khan… Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha… I feel sad also because a lot of people who are saying this in their hearts believe I am someone who does not like India… In their hearts they believe that… And that is quite untrue.
