NCB Raids Aryan Khan, Ananya Panday’s House; Summon Notice Sent To Ananya Panday
After Aryan Khan was denied bail yesterday due to WhatsApp chats found on Aryan’s phone that indicates his involvement in illicit drug activities, the Narcotics Control Bureau carried out a raid at Shah Rukh Khan’s residence Mannat today. As per reports, a team of NCB officials also visited actor Ananya Panday’s residence in Mumbai. The raids were conducted hours after Shah Rukh Khan visited the Arthur Road jail in Mumbai this morning to meet his son Aryan Khan who is under arrest in connection to the drug bust case. Some sources close to the development said that Bollywood female actor and Chunky Panday’s daughter Ananya Panday was under the NCB scanner for a few days.
Meanwhile, the WhatsApp chats submitted to the court by the Narcotics Control Bureau allegedly shows that Aryan Khan was discussing drugs during the cruise party while having a conversation with an upcoming Bollywood female actor. The name of the latter has not been revealed publicly. According to the latest updates, Ananya Panday has been asked to summon before the anti-drug agency by 2 pm today for questioning.
The Narcotics Control Bureau has not revealed if Ananya Panday’s questioning has got anything to do with Aryan Khan’s case. More details about NCB reaches Ananya Panday’s residence are awaited.
While rejecting the bail plea of Aryan Khan, Justice VV Patil, in his order, said: “WhatsApp chats prima facie reveals accused Aryan Khan is dealing in illicit drug activities for narcotic substances on a regular basis. Therefore, it cannot be said that Khan is not likely to commit similar offence while on bail. Accused 1&2 (Arbaaz Merchant) are friends since long. In their voluntary statements, both of them disclosed that they were possessing the said substance for their consumption and for enjoyment. Thus, all these things go to show that Aryan Khan was having knowledge of contraband concealed by 2 in his shoes,”
Accused Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha have been arrested after the anti-drug agency conducted a raid at a rave party in a cruise ship off to Goa. While no drugs were found on SRK’s son Aryan Khan, the NCB maintained that they have recovered suspicious WhatsApp Chats from Aryan’s phone that hints about his involvement as a member of an international drug trafficking racket. Aryan Khan has been charged with Section 27A and 29 of the NDPS act,1985, and is currently locked inside the Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.
