This Summer, Detoxify Yourself With These Super Easy Homemade Drinks!

Many people have become overweight due to the closure caused by the Covid-19 epidemic. There are many health problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol that we already have. However, in an effort to live a healthy lifestyle and lose weight, we continue to try different hacks. The most common of these are detox drinks.

Detox drinks are great for digestion, and if your digestion is good, then your weight loss journey will be easier automatically. By definition, detox drinks help detoxify the body and improve body metabolism.

The detox drinks available in the market are expensive and not everyone can afford them. But you can find a cheap and healthy summer detox drink in your kitchen. Ingredients such as jeera (cumin), dhania (coriander) and saunf (fennel) detoxify the body and promote weight loss. When you combine these substances, it not only improves your metabolism but also removes toxins from your body, making your skin glow. In the summer, we need to keep  keep ourselves energized and fresh.

Before knowing more about the detox drinks, let us know the benefits of Jeera, Dhania and Saunf: 

Jeera: Jeera or cumin seeds are rich in antioxidants and Vitamin A, C, copper, potassium and anti-inflammatory properties. Jeera’s health benefits have been documented in ancient ayurvedic literature as it helps control cholesterol, diabetes, and reduces hunger.

Dhania: Dhania or coriander seeds regulate blood sugar and are beneficial for both heart and mental health. It strengthens your immune system, helps you lose weight and makes your skin glow.

Saunf: Saunf seeds or fennel contain many nutrients such as Vitamin K, Vitamin E, manganese, copper, zinc, etc. It has many health benefits as it regulates blood pressure, cleanses the blood, and even reduces the risk of cancer. Apart from this, it is very good for skin problems, especially in summer.

Lemon And Ginger 

This is a wonderful drink that is very effective in losing weight. Squeeze half a lemon into a glass of warm water and add an inch of ground ginger. Drink this every morning and check your weight in next 1-2 months. 

Cinnamon And Honey

This is made by mixing a teaspoon of honey and half a teaspoon of cinnamon in a glass of warm water.Cinnamon is known to suppress cravings while honey helps the body. Furthermore, adding lime in this drink can also help burn fat. 

Cucumber And Mint

This mixture not only helps to remove toxins from the body, but is also good for taste. Cucumber and mint when soaked in water are a good combination for digestion. Take a large pot and add a few slices of cucumber and fresh mint leaves. Allow them to soak for a while and continue to drink it throughout the day. Cucumber contains antioxidants that help fight free radicals and due to its hydrating effect, it helps remove toxins from the body.

Green tea 

This is a low-calorie beverage and something that many swear by. Green tea contains catechins, antioxidants that help suppress the production of free radicals in the body. It has also been shown to activate the body’s thermogenic fat burning function. 

Cranberry juice

Cranberry juice is known as a natural diuretic and can help drain excess water. It also contains the powerful anthocyanin antioxidant that helps fight certain diseases, infections and helps control cholesterol levels. It is known to help prevent urinary tract infections as well.
