Chandigarh University Leaked Video: Woman Student Blackmailed Into Sharing Videos of Other Hostellers

In the recent development in the Chandigarh University video leak case, the arrested woman student was allegedly blackmailed by the two accused men for sharing videos of other hostellers. Accused Sunny Mehta and his friend Rankaj Verma reportedly threatened to make the woman’s private videos viral unless she shared filmed and shared videos of other hostel inmates in the common washroom. In the Chandigarh University leak case, the Punjab police have made three arrests so far, including a woman student, a 23-year-old man from Himachal Pradesh, and his 31-year-old friend. While the Punjab police have confirmed that no videos of other hostellers were found on the woman’s phone, students have alleged that the police and the Chandigarh University administration are lying and trying to cover the truth. On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, a probe into the matter would be done by a three-member SIT team comprising only women police officers. On Monday, the three accused were produced in the Mohali Court, and the court sent them to seven-day police remand. The Experience of Watching A Film In Theatres To Return In Kashmir After 23 Years

The Kashmir valley is all set for a film’s release in theatres after 23 years. Two epic movies, Vikram Vedha and Ponniyin Selvan-1 (PS-1), will be released on October 1 at the new INOX theatre in Srinagar’s Shiv Pora area. J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the multiplex. The ticket sales will start on September 26 in the theatre, which features three screens and a total seating capacity of 522. “I see my dream coming true. Wholesome family entertainment had taken a back seat. When we were younger, we used to go to cinema halls in Kashmir. There were 10-12 cinema halls here,” said Vikas Dhar, owner of the multiplex. In the 1990s, 11 cinema halls across the Kashmir valley were shut down during large-scale militancy. Not worrying about the footfalls, Mr Dhar said: “This is not a business. We really wanted to bring the magic of cinema back. Success will be achieved on October 1 whether one person comes or a hundred. Showing movies on bigger screens after 35 years will be a dream come true.”
