As we all know, Covid-19 vaccines are one of the best way to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. That is why the vaccine for children in India is very important. There are mostly two vaccines that will be administered for children –
- Zydus Cadila by Cadila Healthcare Ltd.

The first vaccine Zydus Cadila has been recommended for children above two years old. On the other hand, the DCGI, which is also known as the Drug Controller General of India, gave emergency use approval to Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin for the age group of children (12-18).
Is child vaccination in India mandatory?
To fight against novel coronavirus, vaccination is essential. Recently the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, announced on 25th December that children between 15-18 years old will be vaccinated from 3rd January 2022. Vaccines against the coronavirus have not been made mandatory for any age group as of now, but the government is constantly issuing advisories to educate people that why they must get vaccinated.
