Kisan Mahapanchayat: Security Tightened At Delhi Borders Amid Farmer's Call To Protest

The Delhi police, on Monday, intensified security at Singhu, Tikri, and Ghazipur borders of Delhi as farmers call to host Mahapanchayat at Jantar Mantar in the national capital.  The farmers' body proposed for a Kisan Mahapanchayat (grand assembly of farmers) to stage a protest against unemployment in the country.  With the call for the protest, it is expected that farmers from different parts of the country will reach Jantar Mantar to stage their protest.  The farmer's body, Samyukt Kisan Morcha, called for Kisan Mahapanchayat to press the central government to fulfil their demands, including a law guaranteeing minimum support prices (MSP) for their produce. https://twitter.com/hemantrajora_/status/1561594090482896896 https://twitter.com/htTweets/status/1561566650285314048

Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia Slams BJP For Asking Him To Quit AAP And Join The BJP 

In a fresh statement from his personal Twitter handle, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia alleged that the ruling BJP invited him to join their party with an offer to close all cases lodged by the CBI against him. The minister tweeted, "I received a message from the BJP- break relations with "AAP", all cases levied by the CBI and ED will be disposed off. I reply to the BJP- I am a Rajput, a descendent of Maharana Pratap. I will cut off my head but will not bow down in front of corrupt-conspirators. All cases levied against me are false. Do whatever you want to do". Earlier, the CBI had raided the residence of the Delhi Deputy CM to investigate irregularities in the framing of Delhi's excise policy. Later, the minister alleged that the CBI had issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against him and eight others in the same case. Three Journalists Booked For Covering Fake News 

The Madhya Pradesh police on Saturday booked three journalists from Bhind on the charge of covering "misleading and false" information about a man who took his unwell father to hospital on a handcart as the ambulance facility was not available in the region. The booked journalists involve Anil Sharma from News18, Kunjbihari Kaurav from Patrika, and NK Bhatele from Lalluram.com. The police levied charges of cheating and causing public mischief as of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2008, against the journalists. https://twitter.com/the_hindu/status/1561531114140876806

Death Toll In Himachal Pradesh Surged To 27

On Sunday, the death toll due to excessive rains reached 27 in Himachal Pradesh. Government To Rename All 23 AIIMS After Local Heroes, Monuments, And Geographical Identities

In a fresh decision to revitalize the contribution of regional heroes, the government plans to rename all 23 AIIMS, including that of Delhi. As per this proposal, the government will rename institutes after the names of regional heroes, freedom fighters, historical events or monuments of the area or their distinct geographical identity. As of now, the majority of the 23 All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have submitted a list of names to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Covid-Bulletin: India Logs 9,531 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 98.59%

According to the latest data released by the union health ministry, India has registered 9,531 new covid-19 cases in the previous 24 hours. The active caseload of India currently stands at 97,648. Meanwhile, daily recoveries counted the figure of 11,726 in the last 24 hours. With this tally, the total recoveries have reached 4,37,23,944. The daily and weekly positivity rates stand at 4.15% and 3.59%, respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 88.27 crore covid-19 tests so far.
