IMD Issues Alert Of Heavy Rainfall In These States

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted the formation of a low-pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal. As per IMD, the formation is expected to move west northwestwards across Jharkhand, north Odisha, and north Chattisgarh in the next three days. The weather department said: "A cyclonic circulation lies over East-central and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal at middle tropospheric levels, under its influence, a Low-Pressure Area is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around 11th June 2021," The department added that India would likely receive widespread rainfall over its eastern and adjoining central parts. Focus On Fully Vaccinating Healthcare Workers And Frontline Workers Says Centre To States

The central government has asked the states to fully vaccinate healthcare workers and frontline workers on a priority basis. A statement was released after a high-level meeting on Thursday, and it read: "States/UTs were asked to sharpen their focus and prepare effective plans for expediting the second dose administration for the HCWs and FLWs. States were asked to dedicate special time slots or sessions for the exercise," The national average for the first dose among the healthcare workers is 82% and 56% for the second dose. For frontline workers, the average for the first dose stands at 85%, and for the second dose, it's only 47%, according to the central government data. The Union Health Secretary said that the universal coverage and full protection of HCWs and FLWs are crucial for strengthening healthcare response against the covid-19 pandemic.

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot Announces A Financial Assistance Of INR 5000 To Around 2000 Artists

The Ashok Gehlot-led government has announced financial assistance of INR 5000 to around 2000 artists in the state. Informing about the same, CM Ashok Gehlot tweeted: "It has been decided to provide one-time assistance of ?5,000 to the artists in the state who are facing financial problems due to the unforeseen circumstances arising out of the COVID-19 epidemic. With this decision, about 2,000 artists who are financially weak and needy will get relief," Meanwhile, the fresh covid-19 cases in the state stand at 1792 with 2282 discharges and 30 deaths.

Actor Mrunal Jain recently revealed that he would be playing a central character in a web series inspired by the incident of the Rohtak sisters. The famous Rohtak Sisters case is based on two sisters Arti and Pooja, who thrashed men in a bus and accused them of molesting both the sisters. Mrunal Jain, while speaking to IANS, said: "I'm not supposed to be talking much about my role, but I would say that the audience will get to see a different side of me as an actor. I will be speaking in a different dialect, actually everything is very different from what I have done in the past. It's based on a real-life incident and has a very interesting storyline. Actor Varun Dhawan Will Be Back Shooting For His Film Bhediya From 26th June

Actor Varun Dhawan wrapped up over 90% of his forthcoming film Bhediya's shoots till 19th April at real locations in the middle of mountains and jungles of Arunachal Pradesh. Now, Varun is all set to resume shooting for the last leg of the horror-comedy film, Bhediya, in Mumbai on 26th June. A source close to the development said: "Varun and the entire team of this Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios production reunites in Mumbai for the final leg of the film. It's going to be a brief shoot before the team calls it's a wrap," Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon is setting up for a theatrical release on 22nd April 2022.
