In the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss OTT, host Karan Johar paid his heartfelt tribute to late actor and Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla. During the episode, Johar said: “Sidharth Shukla is such a face, such a name, who has become an important part of our lives. He is a favourite member of the Bigg Boss family. He is not only (a friend of) mine but a friend of the uncountable people in the industry. He has left us all. This is something we are still finding hard to believe. I am numb, I can’t even breathe. Sid is a good son, a great friend, and an amazing guy to be around. His positive vibe and that smile won so many – millions of hearts. His millions of fans are proof that he was such a popular and lovable person. You shall be missed Sidharth Shukla. We will miss you. You and I, all need great strength to carry on the show. Even Sid would have wanted that the show must go on.” Meanwhile, the contestants locked inside the Bigg Boss OTT house has not been informed about Sidharth Shukla’s death. On Sunday, Milind Gaba and Akshara Singh were evicted from the Bigg Boss OTT house. Actor Sidharth Shukla’s prayer meeting will be organized on Monday at 5 PM.
Covid-Bulletin: India Registers 38,948 New Covid-19 Cases
According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, India has registered 38,948 new active covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The country’s active caseload currently stands at 4,04,874, constituting 1.23% of total covid-19 cases reported in the country so far. Meanwhile, fresh recoveries have outnumbered daily covid-19 cases with recording 43,903 recoveries in the previous 24 hours. The daily and weekly positivity rate is currently at 2.76% and 2.58% respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 53.14 crore covid-19 tests so far. On the vaccination front, India has administered 68.75 crore covid-19 vaccine doses so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.

PM Modi To Interact With Covid-19 Vaccination Program Beneficiaries In Himachal Pradesh Today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to interact with the beneficiaries of the covid-19 vaccination program and healthcare workers in Himachal Pradesh through video conferencing at 11 am today. Taking to Twitter, PM Modi wrote: “Himachal Pradesh has set a benchmark in the fight against covid-19 by giving the first dose of vaccine to all eligible people. Will have the privilege of interacting with many such beneficiaries and health workers of the state through video conferencing tomorrow at 11 am,” The Prime Minister Office also said that Himachal Pradesh has successfully inoculated the entire eligible population with the first dose of covid-19 vaccine.

Delhi: Police Resumes Breathalyser Tests After A Year; 90 Prosecuted So Far
The Delhi Police has resumed Breathalyser Tests after stopping the practice for a year due to the covid-19 pandemic. Taking to ANI, the special commissioner of police, Muktesh Chander said: “We had to stop testing people for alcohol levels when covid broke out because this required being in close contact with the driver. Now since covid cases have reduced and people are out to enjoy, it is important to keep a check,” Till now, the Delhi Police have prosecuted 90 people for drinking & driving.
Experts Suggests Zero Industrial Discharge For A Clean Yamuna River
To pave way for a cleaner Yamuna river, the experts have suggested that a zero industrial discharge should be practiced. The convener of the Yamuna Jiye Abhiyan, Manoj Mishra said: “It seems our decision-makers could not understand the river Yamuna and that is why they keep changing the goal post on it. If we talk about Yamuna Action Plan, then as per that plan, the river should have been rejuvenated by 2001. Later the National Green Tribunal also gave an order to rejuvenate the river by 2017 at any cost, but it never happened. Now DPCC reported that Yamuna cannot be rejuvenated even by 2023,”While saying that there has been an improvement in the cleanliness of the river, the operator at the site, Pawan Kumar Thakur said: “We don’t allow any sort of immersion of idols and materials used for worships. We issue a fine for that,”
Panjshir Falls To The Taliban; Massive Attacks On Resistance Force
The Taliban has captured few territories of Panjshir valley of Afghanistan by inflicting massive damage on the resistance force which was led by caretaker President Amrullah Saleh who is safe but has been moved to an undisclosed location. Some Talibani sources have confirmed that the group seized the valley after a heavy fight with the anti-Taliban forces. There was celebratory gunfires all over Kabul and there have been reports that suggest that Pakistan has helped the Taliban to take over the Panjshir Valley. On Sunday, ISIS Chief Hameed Faiz also extended his support to the Taliban. Meanwhile, Saleh has asked the United Nations to ask national and international agencies to immediately mobilize their resources to end the war crimes being committed by the Taliban.
