PM To Lay Foundation Stone Of Noida International Airport On Nov 25
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be laying the foundation stone of the Noida International Airport on 25th November 2021 at Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The Foundation stone ceremony will take place at 1 pm. As per the Prime Minister Office, Uttar Pradesh will become the only Indian state to have 5 international airports. Informing about the NIA, Prime Minister Office (PMO) said: “A special focus of this grand vision has been on the state of Uttar Pradesh that is witnessing the development of multiple new international airports including the recently inaugurated Kushinagar airport and the under-construction international airport at Ayodhya,” The Noida International Airport will decongest the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) and will be the second international airport in Delhi NCR. The NIA will feature a multimodal transit hub, housing rail, metro services and taxi, bus services. Major highways, including Yamuna Expressway, Western Peripheral Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, will be connected to the NIA. The Noida International Airport will also be India’s first net-zero emissions airport.
Covid-Bulletin: India Registers 7,579 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 98.32%
According to the latest data released by the union health ministry, India has recorded 7,579 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload of the country currently stands at 1,13,584, which is the lowest in 536 days. Meanwhile, daily recoveries continue to outnumber new covid-19 cases, with recording 12,202 recoveries in the previous 24 hours. The total recoveries in the country have reached 3,39,46,749. The daily and weekly positivity rate currently stands at 0.79% and 0.93%, respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, India has conducted 63.34 crore covid-19 tests so far. On the vaccination front, the country has administered 117.63 crore covid-19 vaccine doses so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.

Kisan Mahapanchayat In Lucknow; Insists On MSP Law
The Samyukta Kisan Morcha, the main farmers union held a Kisan Mahapanchayat in Lucknow. In the Mahapanchayat, farmers pressed on for bringing a law that guarantees Minimum Support Price (MSP) and also for sacking union minister Ajay Mishra whose son was involved in the Lakhimpur Kheri Violence. On Friday, BKU leader Rakesh Tikait said that though farmers welcome PM Modi’s move to repeal the three controversial farm laws, the agitation will not stop until the laws are formally repealed in parliament. Samyukta Kisan Morcha has also written an open letter to the prime minister for their other demands, including withdrawal of the Electricity Amendment Bill. The farm laws are expected to be repealed in the upcoming winter session of the parliament.

Weather Update: Heavy Rainfall Predicted In Tamil Nadu, Puducherry For Next 5 Days
The Indian Meteorological Department’ regional centre in Chennai has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The weather department added that the sky would remain partly cloudy with the maximum and minimum temperatures around 30 degrees celsius and 24 degrees celsius. Heavy rainfall has caused severe damage and loss of lives in states including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.

Pakistan To Allow India For Wheat Transit To Afghanistan
On Monday, Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan announced that the country would allow India to deliver humanitarian aid to Afghanistan via Pakistan. India can now transport 50,000 MT of wheat to Afghanistan through Pakistan. Afghanistan has been facing an acute food crisis, and India has repeatedly called for Afghanistan to have unhindered access to humanitarian aid. Speaking about the move, TCA Raghavan, veteran diplomat and former Indian high commissioner to Pakistan, said: “This is a welcome development. If India and Pakistan can find pragmatic ways to smoothen their interface on Afghanistan, it will be a step forward for both for Afghanistan and for regional cooperation,” India is yet to react to this development.

International Emmy Awards 2021: Aarya, Vir Das, Nawazuddin Siddiqui Loses!
On Monday, the 49th International Emmy Awards took place in New York, wherein some of the best artists and shows across the globe were honoured. From India, there were three Emmy nominations – comedian Vir Das for his Netflix special Vir Das: For India, actor Nawazuddin Siddique for his performance in the Serious Men and Disney+ Hotstar series Aarya was nominated for the Best Drama Series category. In all of the three categories, India failed to win. For the Comedy section, the award was won by the French series Call My Agent – Season 4. The Best Performance by an Actor was won by David Tennant, and the Best Drama Series category was won by the Israeli series Tehran.
