Samyukt Kisan Morcha Calls For Bharat Bandh Today

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha has called for a Bharat Bandh today as their protest against the three controversial agricultural farm laws has completed a year. Many farmer organizations have been protesting for months against the centre's three farm laws alleging that private firms will over the agricultural sector. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha is an umbrella body consisting of over 40 farm unions, has appealed to people to join the Bharat bandh. The farmer association have also asked political parties to stand with farmers to defend principles of democracy. In the Bharat Bandh, major roads and highways are blocked in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab. Throughout the strike, the farmer organizations have called for a closure of industrial, commercial, and educational institutions. Covid-Bulletin: India Records 26,041 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 97.78%

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 26,041 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload of the country currently stands at 2,99,620, constituting 0.89% of total covid-19 cases reported in the country so far. Meanwhile, daily recoveries continue to outnumber new covid-19 cases with registering 29,621 recoveries so far. The total number of recoveries currently stands at 3,29,31,972. The daily and weekly positivity rate stands at 2.24% and 1.94% respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 56.44 crore covid-19 tests. CJI N V Ramana Urges Women To Demand For 50% Reservation In All Spheres

On Sunday, The Chief Justice of India N V Ramana urged all women to shout and demand for 50% reservation in all spheres. CJI N V Ramana said: "It's high time we have 50% representation of women in the judiciary. I will be very happy the day this goal is achieved. Appointment of three women judges will inspire women in other branches of governance to break the glass ceiling," The Chief Justice of India also noted that the representation of women in judiciary is dismal and one of the primary reasons why women can't enter the legal profession is the lack of women-friendly infrastructure. Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission To Be Launched By PM Modi Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission today through video conferencing. The programme will launch at 11 am, and Prime Minister Modi will hold an address as reported by the Prime Minister's Office. On 15th August 2020, prime minister Modi had announced the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission from the ramparts of Red Fort. As per the PMO, the mission will build a seamless online platform through a wide range of information, infrastructure and data while ensuring confidentiality and privacy of health-related personal information. In this mission, every person will have a health ID that will work as their health account, and one can view their personal health records through a mobile application. The roll-out of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission also coincides with the third anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).  https://youtu.be/1a9-Mo736-I

Mamata Banerjee: "Will Defeat BJP At The National Level" 

On Sunday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee termed the Bhartiya Janata Party as a 'jumla (rhetoric) party'. While addressing a public meeting, Ms Banerjee took a dig at the BJP for not allowing her to attend a global peace meet in Rome and said: "The BJP is the biggest jumla party in the country. It has only lies and hatred to offer. If you speak against them, they will unleash central agencies against you. They (BJP) are the party of a dancing dragon, who will remove your name from the list of citizenship in the name of CAA, NRC and NPR," "The BJP thinks it can do whatever it wants just because it is in power. It doesn't follow human rights and democratic rights in the states where it is in power. In the days to come, we would take on the BJP at the national level and defeat them," added Ms Banerjee. Hitting out at the Congress and the CPI (M), Ms Banerjee alleged that both political parties also have an understanding with the BJP. 

Arjun Bijlani Takes The Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 Trophy Home

TV personality Arjun Bijlani has won the 11th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi, with Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya emerging as the first runner up, followed by Vishal Aditya Singh. The show went on for 11 long months and was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa. Along with the trophy, Arjun Bijlani took the Rs 20 lakh prize and a Maruti Swift car. In the finale task, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya lost to Arjun Bijlani by 20 seconds.
