Seemapuri Explosives Case: Police Says Suspect Took Flat With Fake Papers

On Thursday, the Delhi Police recovered 3 kg of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in a bag found near the Seemapuri area of Delhi. The items were defused while the police interrogated the owner of the house and a property dealer. As per police sources, the owner of the apartment named Qasim rented out his apartment through a property dealer named Shakil. The flat was taken by a person, but three more men moved into the apartment ten days ago. However, they all fled before the police reached there. The suspects rented the apartment by producing fake documents, and the owner did not carry out any police verification before renting out the apartment. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police Special Cell has already identified the suspects, but it is not known yet where these men are from. The IED found in Seemapuri is similar to the one that police recovered from the Ghazipur flower market ahead of the Republic Day celebration. Covid-Bulletin: India Logs 25,920 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 98.12%

According to the latest data released by the union health ministry, India has registered 25,920 new covid-19 cases in the previous 24 hours. The active caseload of the country currently stands at 2,92,092. Meanwhile, daily recoveries continue to outnumber active covid-19 cases with registering 66,254 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The total recoveries have reached to 4,19,77,238. The daily and weekly positivity rates stand at 2.07% and 2.76%, respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 75.68 crore covid-19 tests so far.
