Reach Out To Deprived Sections In Communities Other Than Hindus Says PM Modi To Party

As per sources, the Bhartiya Janata Party is now focussing on regions where it has been unable to make any electoral gains. In the recent national executive meeting of the BJP held in Hyderabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi instructed party leaders to reach out to 'deprived and downtrodden sections' in communities other than Hindus. "He (PM Modi) said there are deprived and downtrodden sections in other communities also. He said that we should not be limited to Hindus only; we should work for all these deprived communities," said a BJP leader. PM Modi's direction came weeks after the BJP won in Azamgarh and Rampur in the recent Lok Sabha Polls, toppling the Samajwadi Party's stronghold in these constituencies in Uttar Pradesh which has more Muslim voters. The BJP sources said that PM Modi's remark was a message for the BJP party to reach out to communities like Pasmanda Muslims in UP and Bihar. When asked if PM Modi gave any suggestions during the discussions, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said: "The Prime Minister spoke and gave various comments during the discussion. He gave suggestions on the Northeast to bring development. He also spoke on how BJP workers should take the message of our presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu to the grassroots — the message about her simplicity and humble background, aligned with the story of her struggles, should be brought to people. He gave the advice during various stages of the discussion." Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah moved the BJP's political resolution and said: "India will move forward to become the vishwaguru (world leader) when the politics of appeasement, dynasty and casteism end." https://youtu.be/WfGM2_ojJR8
