Udaipur Murder: Stop Being Tolerant To Intolerant Says Geert Wilders To India

Geert Wilders, the Dutch MP, reacted to the Udaipur murder case and asked India to ‘stop being tolerant to intolerant’. After the Kanhaiya Lal murder case in Udaipur city's Dhan Mandi area and videos posted online with assailants claiming that they were avenging an insult to Islam, Wilders said that the Hindus should be safe in India as it is ‘their country’ and ‘their homeland’. The Dutch MP also supported expelled Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nupur Sharma for her remarks on Prophet Muhammad. Please, India as a friend, I tell you: stop being tolerant to the intolerant. Defend Hinduism against extremists, terrorists and jihadists. Don't appease Islam, for it will cost you dearly. Hindus deserve leaders that protect them for the full 100%,” Geert Wilders tweeted.   https://twitter.com/geertwilderspvv/status/1541814196593115138 Hindus should be safe in India. It is their country, their homeland, it's theirs! India is no Islamic nation, Wilders, a far-right leader from The Netherlands, added.  https://twitter.com/geertwilderspvv/status/1541810603383312386 The gruesome killing of a tailor identified as Kanhaiya Lal yesterday by two men who filmed it and bragged about avenging an insult to Islam has sparked tension and protests in Rajasthan's Udaipur. Both the attackers, identified as Ghouse Mohammad and Riyaz Akhtari, seen on camera have been arrested. Kanhaiya Lal had been threatened multiple times over his social media posts in support of former BJP leader Nupur Sharma, suspended by the ruling party earlier this month after her comments on Prophet Muhammad triggered anger among Gulf nations and protests in the country. Yesterday, Kanhaiya Lal was at his shop in the city's busy Dhan Mandi market when the attackers walked in, pretending to be customers. The tailor was seen in the video taking measures of one of the men who suddenly attacked him. The man struck him with a cleaver as the other man filmed the murder on his mobile phone. The killers tried to behead him but couldn't, the Rajasthan police said. The neck was slit, but the head was not severed. The two men fled and later posted the barbaric video on social media. In another video, the attackers, identified as Ghouse Mohammad and Riyaz Akhtari, boasted about the murder and also threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, the Home Ministry has constituted a team of National Investigation Agency to probe any terrorism angle in the Udaipur incident.
