Goodbye Trailer Review: Amitabh, Rashmika Duo Questions Death From a Comic Lens

The trailer of Goodbye, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna, is out on YouTube. In the trailer, the film appears to revolve around a dysfunctional family represented in a comic view.

The three-minute trailer provides a sneak peek of the story where Neena Gupta’s character passes away, leaving her family alone. Though the loss of a family member sounds tragic, the film presents the same in a comical view.

In the film, Neena Gupta essays the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s wife and mother of Rashmika Mandanna. The death of Neena Gupta creates a conflict between the new-age children and the father, who believes in old rituals. All these things, including the funeral of Neena’s character, have been presented in a comical view to the audience.

Like Pagglait and Ramprasad Ki Tehravi, the film introduces different characters whose dialogues might sound inappropriate if presented independently but make complete sense when said contextually.

The film Goodbye has been produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, Saraswati Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Viraj Sawant, and Vikas Bahl.

Written and directed by Vikas Bahl, Goodbye is scheduled to release on big screens on October 7. The movie director, Vikas Bahl, is famous for producing out-of-the box films like Super 30, Queen, and Shandaar.

During the #MeToo movement, Bahl was accused many times. However, internal investigations by Super 30 producers gave him a clean chit and cleared him of all accusations. Actress Kangana Ranaut had also accused Vikas Bahl of a similar happening.

Goodbye Cast At Lalbaugcha Raja

After the Goodbye trailer launch, Rashmika Mandanna, Neena Gupta and producer Ekta Kapoor visited the famous Lalbaugcha Raja pandal in Mumbai to seek the blessings of Ganapati Bappa. While Rashmika looked beautiful in a traditional ensemble, Neena Gupta looked elegant in a yellow outfit.
