The much-awaited film Gehraiyaan released on the OTT platform - Amazon Prime Video today. We have been quite excited to watch Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa deal with real relationship issues. However, has the film been able to strike the right cords just like its soulful songs? Well, to be honest, director Shakun Batra does a decent job in peeling the layers of complex characters like Alisha, Tia and Zain but when it comes to the total makeover, the film labours under the delusion that it is giving a new take on the romantic genre. https://www.instagram.com/p/CZwUeGthVs1/ With a stellar cast and an interesting storyline, Gehraiyaan uses the ocean reflections and the colour blue as an inspiration to show the depth of every character. If you are a fan of feeling too many emotions in one shot, you won't be disappointed with the character of Alisha payed by the talented Deepika Padukone. Honestly, Deepika plays the part with such conviction that you kind of crave for her character in the film. What works right on point for the film is its duration and Shakun Batra along with his writers, cleverly keeps the film short and crisp. All the characters of the film seems perfect but as you go deeper, Batra reveals the shortcomings of every character. Well, perfection lies in imperfections.
