Due To Injury Javelin Throw Champion Neeraj Chopra Ruled Out Of CWG 2022: Fans Wish Him Speedy Recovery


Neeraj Chopra secured a historic silver medal for India in the World Athletics Championship, and was ready to bring up more recognition to the country, until he got injured during the championship. Reportedly, on Tuesday, the Javelin throw champion was ruled out of the Commonwealth games 2022 as he sustained an injury during finals. According to reports, Neeraj has been advised to take complete rest for at least one month before getting on to the grounds. As a result, the authorities decided to rule him out from the Commonwealth Games 2022.  Amid the Neeraj Chopra injury concerns, Indians are in shock as this 24-year old defending champion was too close to grabbing another historic achievement for the country. He has already won gold at Commonwealth games 2018 in Goldcoast. Therefore, the expectation from the Birmingham Games was already at its peak.  Rajeev Mehta, the Secretary General of the IOA has confirmed the news of injury while speaking to the news agency ANI, on Tuesday. He said that Neeraj Chopra ruled out of CWG 2022 due to which he will not compete in the upcoming game.  Before revealing his injury, Chopra shared about the incident and said, “I thought even the fourth throw could have gone farther, but during that time I felt something on my thigh. This thing somewhere impacted my performance, due to which I failed to give my best in next two rounds”.
