Shreyas Iyer Makes Return To Training; All Set For IPL 2021

When India's middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer sustained a shoulder injury earlier this year, it was one of the most stressful moments of his life. However, in a recent change of events, he is all prepared and ready to go after joining his Delhi Capitals team in the United Arab Emirates. The second leg of the IPL 2021 will begin on September 19, and Delhi is presently in first place in the points table. After suffering a shoulder injury in one of the series' matches, Iyer was ruled out of India's home series against England. He was later ruled out of the Indian leg of the IPL after suffering a shoulder injury. He subsequently underwent extensive rehabilitation and is now poised to play in the IPL's second leg in the UAE. It should be mentioned that when Iyer was unable to play the opening session of the IPL, Rishabh Pant was appointed as DC's captain. However, after Iyer returns, it is unclear who would be in control of Delhi. While watching his colleagues perform, Iyer made it a point to mention that the sensation was incredibly tough for him.

“To be honest, I am feeling like I am on top of the world. This was the moment I had been looking forward to. Being a part of the team is never a negative thing. I arrived six days before the squad's practice sessions began. Had two terrific games against the UAE team, so I just want to keep the same momentum going. It was really difficult for me to sit out and watch my teammates play. I was sitting in front of the TV, watching every game and pretending to be on the ground, attempting to recreate the situation at home. But, because that is already in the past, I must forget about it and continue with the same rhythm that the team has maintained.” Well, let's see if Shreyas Iyer can now impress in the second phase of the IPL 2021 tournament, starting from 19th September.
