2022 Wouldn’t Be The Same Without These Celebrities!

Every year brings its share of ups and downs but the year 2021 proved that life is really uncertain. Many people get to live long and prosperous lives till they reach their dusk while others come to an end quite untimely. Long illnesses, heart attacks, and Covid-19 have claimed several lives which also included some Celebrity Deaths in 2021. 

Here are the celebrities that left us in 2021:

Puneeth Rajkumar (October 29)

Popular Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar breathed his last only at age 46 after suffering a major heart attack. The actor died at Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru on October 29th. Just as his father Dr. Rajkumar, the actor’s eyes were also donated. Many of his followers were greatly shocked to learn about his death. It was even reported that two of his fans died with their heart collapsing with the news of his demise. He was known for his work in films like ‘Yuvararhna’ and ‘Power’. 

Sidharth Shukla (September 2)

Actor Sidharth Shukla who became renowned on television with his role in famous dramas like Balika Vadhu passed away on September 2nd due to a heart attack. The entire television and film fraternity was greatly shocked by his demise. Shukla quickly became a household celebrity after winning the 13th season of Bigg Boss in 2019. He also made his Bollywood debut back in 2015 with the romantic comedy Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Shukla had a successful television career and hosted popular series like India’s got talent 6 and Savdhaan India. 

Dilip Kumar (July 7)

Veteran actor Yousuf Khan who went by the screen name of Dilip Kumar had been in ailing condition from a long period. The demise of the legendary actor left friends and colleagues heartbroken. He was 98 years old when he breathed his last. From prime minister Narendra Modi to President Ram Nath Kovind, everyone paid respect to the legendary actor. During his filmy career, he was hailed as the tragedy king by his fans and the film fraternity.

Bikramjeet Kanwarpal (May 1)

Bikramjeet Kanwarpal has appeared in several well-known films, web series, and TV shows. The actor died after suffering from covid-19. Kanwarpal was 52 when he took his last breath. He started his acting career in 2003 and have been a part of famous films like The Ghazi attack, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the year, Aarakshan, 2 States, and more. He was last seen in the popular web series Special Ops on Disney+ Hotstar.

Ghanashyam Nayak (October 3)

Popularly known as Nattu Kaka from the hit comedy show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Ghanashyam Nayak died after he lost the battle to cancer. Ghanashyam began his acting career as a child artist long back in 1960 and went on to feature in many Hindi and Gujarati films. 

Rajiv Kapoor (February 9)

Rajiv Kapoor belonged to the Kapoor dynasty of the Bollywood industry. He passed away aged 58. The actor-turned-producer was mostly known for his hit film Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985). According to his brother Randhir Kapoor, Rajiv was not suffering with any major health conditions. His family and friends used to address him as ‘Chimpu’

Anupam Shyam (August 8)

Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya actor Anupam Shyam passed away aged 63 due to multiple organ failure. He has been a part of many Hindi films including Dastak, Dil Se…, Lagaan, Munna Michael and Golmaal. Anupam Shyam also appeared in many TV serials and was very popular due to his excellent portrayal of negative characters. 

Brahma Mishra (December 2)

After complaining of chest trouble, Brahma Mishra was found dead in at his home. The Mirzapur actor was very famous for his memorable side roles in films like Haseen Dillruba, Kesari and Chor Chor Super Chor. 

Surekha Sikri (July 16)

One of the most respected and talented artist, Surekha Sikri breathed her last at the age of 75. The actor gained a lot of appreciation for her portrayal as Kalyani Devi in hit TV serial Balika Vadhu. Surekha Sikri died due to a cardiac arrest in Mumbai. She has also won a National Award
