The glitz and glam Filmfare Awards 2022 took place yesterday at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities, including Ranveer Singh, Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Parineeti Chopra, dazzled the Filmfare Awards Red Carpet with their mesmerising looks.
This year, most of the Filmfare Awards were taken by OTT releases, including Mimi, Sardar Udham and Shershaah. The film is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who fought till his very last breath in the 1999 Kargil War.

Best Film (Critics' Choice) - Sardar Udham Sardar Udham starred Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. The film revolves around the life of revolutionary Udham Singh, who shot Michael O'Dwyer in London to avenge the massacre of Jallianwala Bagh. Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) - Ranveer Singh for 83 Ranveer Singh took the 'Black Lady' home for his exceptional performance in the sports drama film 83. While Ranveer Singh received the Award for Best Actor, he was joined on stage by his wife and actor Deepika Padukone.
Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) - Kriti Sanon for Mimi Kriti Sanon couldn't manage to impress critics with her performance, but Kriti did intrigue the audience. In the film Mimi, Kriti Sanon essays the role of a small-town girl from Rajasthan who gets offered Rs 20 Lakh to act as a surrogate for an American couple.
Best Actor (Critics' Choice) - Vicky Kaushal for Sardar Udham Vicky Kaushal received great appreciation for his strong performance as Udham Singh in the film. As the actor walked hand-in-hand with his better half Katrina Kaif, the crowd couldn't stop cheering for the #VicKat jodi.
