Actor Sonu Sood’s humanitarian work and efforts will never be forgotten; he helped many people during the Coronavirus pandemic. When everyone was talking and playing word games, Sonu Sood came into the scene; he fed many daily wage workers and arranged buses, trains, & even flights to help them reach their homes. Set-Up of Free Medical Camps

On his 47th birthday, Sonu Sood set up various free medical camps across the country that are providing medical assistance to over 50,000 people.

Feeding the Have-Nots in Mumbai

Sonu Sood launched an initiative called Shakti Annadanam in April to provide over 1,50,000 meals every day to poor people in Mumbai. He named this initiative after his late father, Shakti Annadanam.

Helped Women Go Back Home Via Plane

Sonu Sood arranged a chartered flight on May 29 to help 177 stranded women laborers return to their homes. They were working in a factory in Kerala when lockdown happened.

Sonu Sood, along with his childhood friend Neeti Goel started the Ghar Bhejo initiative, the goal of this initiative is to help people reach their homes during this pandemic. Sonu Sood gifted a poor farmer a tractor in order to help him with the land. Sonu Sood watched a video on Twitter where a farmer and his two daughters were plowing the land. He couldn’t resist himself from helping the farmer and gifted him a tractor.

Rehabilitated Homeless People During Cyclone Nisarga

When Cyclone Nisarga made its way to Mumbai, Sonu Sood provided food and rehabilitation to over 28,000 people who were living near coastal lines.
