Kabir Khan’s ’83 the film starring Ranveer Singh is scheduled for release this December

Finally, after a number of delays and setbacks, the upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical sports film directed by Kabir Khan and jointly produced by Khan, Vishnuvardhan Induri, Deepika Padukone and Sajid Nadiadwala, is set for cinema release. 83 release date has been announced as 24th of December, 2021. On Christmas eve this year. Ranveer shared the news of the new release date on social media with a still from the film where the actors can be seen in the Test jerseys, lauding Kapil Dev. Reliance Entertainment and Vibri Media had hosted an event in 2017 to announce the film with the team that had won the 1983 World Cup before shooting began on 5 June 2019 in England. 83 Ranveer Singh look has been the talk of the town, as he looks stunning as cricketer Kapil Dev. Earlier scheduled for theatrical release on the 10th of April 2020, 83 was pushed to 25th of December 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic, and the resulting low occupancy rates in theatres. Amiya Dev, Kapil Dev’s daughter, joined as an assistant to the director, Kabir Khan. Kamal Haasan and Nagarjuna Akkineni (both are actors) had bankrolled the Tamil and Telugu language rights of the film, under their Raaj Kamal Films International and Annapurna Studios banner, while the distribution rights of the former were obtained by YNOT X and the latter by Global Cinemas. 83 movie star cast includes people like Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev, Deepika Padukone as Romi Dev, Tahir Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Aditi Arya as Inderjit Bhardwaj, Hardy Sandhu as Madan Lal, and Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma. Tamil actor Jiiva was given the role of Krishnamachari Srikkanth. This upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical sports film should be a great one to watch if you love cricket, and will surely be worth watching during the Christmas holidays, with friends and family.
