Singer Rahul Jain Again Landed Into Legal Trouble For Raping A Costume Stylist

Bollywood singer Rahul Jain has been landed into a legal trouble, as a woman has filed an FIR against him for allegedly raping her at his residence. Following the complaint, the Mumbai police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Bollywood singer and started investigation into the said incidence.  According to reports, the singer raped the costume stylist at his flat in Mumbai. However, the singer denied all the allegations citing them as "fake and baseless". Victim Statements In Rahul Jain Case In her statement at the Oshiwara police station, the complainant mentioned that Jain contacted her through Instagram and appreciated her work. Followed by regular conversation, Jain asked the victim to visit his flat in the suburban Andheri region. With his quest, Rahul also assured her he would appoint her as his costume stylist.  Looking at singer's appreciation and assurance, the victim visited Jain's residence on August 11. At his residence, Jain asked the victim to accompany him to his bedroom under the pretext of displaying his accomplishments. The police official said that the moment she entered his bedroom, Jain locked the door and raped her.  The victim also stated that Jain assaulted her and tried to destroy evidence when she resisted him. Police Response In Rahul Jain Case According to police, the victim used to work as a freelance costume stylist. She met the singer on Instagram, where the singer looked after her portfolio and appreciated the same. As per the complaint of the victim, police filed FIR under sections 376 (punishment for rape), 323 (punishment for voluntary causing hurt), and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code against music composer Rahul Jain.  As of now, the police have not arrested Rahul. Rahul's Response To Allegations When contacted by media houses, Rahul said, "I don't know this woman. The allegations raised by her are fake and baseless. Earlier also, a woman had made similar allegations against me, but I got justice. This woman may be an associate of that woman". Similar to this case, a Bollywood lyricist cum writer had filed an FIR against Rahul for rape, forcible abortions, abandonment of child, and cheating last October. However, the allegations were later found baseless, as stated by Rahul.
