The film starring Anushka Sharma and Parambrata Chatterjee, Pari is refreshingly different from typical Bollywood horror flicks. Unlike other horror films, Pari slowly builds the narrative and grasps you tightly until you can’t breathe (not literally!) The storyline revolves around Arnab, who rescues a traumatized Ruksana and later discover all her secrets. If the movie’s storyline is not enough to scare you, Anushka’s spooky character will!

Bulbul

Directed by Anvita Dutt Guptan, Bulbul follows the story of a child bride named Bulbul who grows up to rule over a mansion and hides her traumatic past. The film stands true to the statement – ‘A beautiful woman is dangerous’. The film’s storyline is clearly established, but it is unpredictable at the same time. Signifying the red colour as the colour of revenge, Bulbul is a classic mix of pre-renaissance Bengal and horror gothic making for gripping viewing.
