Toofan Releases on July 16 on Amazon Prime

Farhan Akhtar is one of the most dedicated and hardworking Bollywood actors. We have seen Farham’s jaw-dropping performance in the film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, and now he has come again with a sports drama film, Toofan. The actor has worked in many Bollywood films, and it seems that Toofan is going to add another milestone in his career.

In spite of Farhan Khan, the film features many stupendous actors, including Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Rajendra Chawla, Isha Talwar, Mrunal Thakur and more. The film tells the story of a boxer and what struggles he faces on his way to participate and win a national level boxing competition. The film is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash & produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Omprakash Mehra. Rakeysh Omprakash is also known for directing Blockbuster films Rang De Basanti and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Yes, Toofan is the second collaboration of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

Speaking of the movie’s plot, the film revolves around Aziz Ali, played by Farhan Akhtar, who is a street fighter & keeps involving himself in unnecessary fights. But his love of life, Dr. Ananya, played by Mrunal Thakur, helps him understand what to fight for, and then he decides to be a national champion. Aziz’s father, played by Paresh Rawal, teaches him boxing.

The filmmakers worked on this project very passionately; they shot the film’s scenes in Mumbai at real locations like Gateway of India and Dongri Slums. The film was about to release in May 2021, but the release was stalled due to the Covid-19 situation. However, the film will release tomorrow that’s July 16, on Amazon Prime Video. Nevertheless, this is the first time when we see the Super 30 actress Mrunal Thakur and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor Farhan Akhtar together; there is no doubt that the experience of watching this film will be indelible.
