Top 10 Movie Releases and OTT Releases to Watch in September 2023


The month of September has just arrived with a weekend. You will have got prepared to make this weekend and the entire month entertaining for you with a list of what to watch and what not to watch. Some of you are still or might be in the middle of preparing a list to entertain yourself. To facilitate you in your way, we have come up with a list of movie releases and OTT releases to watch in September. Keep going through the post till the end.

1. Love Again

Streamed on the 2nd of September 2023 on Netflix, Love Again is Priyanka Chopra’s last Hollywood outing. Apart from Priyank Chopra Jonas, Celine Dion and Sam Heugham have acted in this movie, which revolves around a grieving woman, Mira (Priyanka Chopra). She finds a specific connection with an accident and sends text messages to the number assigned to her late fiance. While sending the messages, she does not know the number has been assigned to another person, Rob (Heugham). After reading the messages, Rob has emotional attachment to Mira. and so, he decides to meet her with Dion’s support. Chopra’s husband, Nick Jonas, has played a cameo role.        

2. Jawan

As per official announcement, Jawan is set to release in theaters on the 7th of September. It is the 2nd much-awaited film of Shah Rukh Khan in 2023. It is going to be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. This movie has stars like Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sunil grover, Sanya Malhotra, and Ridhi Dogra along with Shah Riukh Khan. Deepika Padukone will also appear on the screen for a special guest role. Its released three songs are Not Ramaiya Vastvaiya, Chaleya, and Zinda Banda.  

3. Haddi

With hilarious acting by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ila Arun, Shriidhar Dubey, Resh Lamba, Anurag Kashyap, and Mohd Zeeshan, Haddi will release on the 7th of September on ZEE5. This movie states a transgender woman’s story. Haddi comes to Delhi from Allahabad and joins a gang of transgenders. They get in touch with the boss of a criminal food chain to take revenge for the wrongdoing by the gangster-turned politician.      

4. Jaane Jaan

With Jaane Jaan’s release on the 21st of September on Netflix, Kareena Kapoor Khan is going to make her OTT debut. Sujoy Ghosh has directed this crime thriller. The movie, Jaane Jaan, has a close association with the book Devotion of Suspect X written by Keigo Higashino. Apart from Kareena Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Verma have acted in this crime thriller. In a statement, Sujoy Ghosh said, “Jaane Jaan is based on the book which has been the love of my life for a long long time. From the day I read Devotion of Suspect X, I wanted to adapt it into a film. It was the most amazing love story I had ever read”.    

5. The Morning Show Season 3

Set to release on 13 September 2023 on Apple TV +, the 3rd season of Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, And Billy Crudup have acted. Their characters face an aftermath caused by a cyber attack on the network. Joining for the first time in the Morning Show, Actor Jon Hamm has played as tech billionaire Paul Marks. He offers money to protect the network from cyber attack.    

6. Sukhee

Set to be released on the 22nd of September in theaters, Sukhee is a fun entertainer. Its story revolves around Sukhpreet, Sukhee, who is a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife. She gets tired of her daily life. So, Sukhee takes a ride to Delhi for her school reunion. In a period of seven days, she goes through several changes in herself and rediscovers herself as a 17-year-old girl. In this period, she has a transition of his roles of a housewife and mother to a girl willing to get married and being a woman.  

7. The Great Indian Family

The 22nd of September is going to be funny and entertaining with the release of the movie The Great Indian Family in theaters. Manushi Chillar and Vicky Kaushal are in the leading roles. This movie revolves around the madness in Vicky’s family caused by sudden uncontrollable developments. It will keep you laughing throughout the time you will live in a theater while watching it.   

8. The Vaccine War

After the remarkable success of The Kerala Story, Vivek Agnihotri is back again with another film based on a true story during Covid-19 pandemic. With stars like Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, and Pallavi Joshi, this film will open a few chapters about bio-scientists who played a pivotal role in developing vaccines to fight against Covid-19. It will be released in theaters on the 28th of September this year.    

9. Salaar

Prabhas is ready to come up on the big screen with the release of Salaar Part 1 Ceasefire on 28 September 2023 in theaters. Directed by Prashanth Neel and Produced by Vijay Kiragandur, this movie is going to be released in five languages - Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada.   

10. Bambai Meri Jaan  

Set to release on Prime Video on the 14th of September this year, Mumbai Meri Jaan is a crime drama in ten parts. It has stars like Kay Kay Menon, Kritika Kamra, Avinash Tiwari, Amyra Dastur, and Nivedita Bhattacharya. It describes the story of good vs evil in post-independence Mumbai.
