Assembly Elections Results: BJP To Sweep UP, AAP To Shine In Punjab?

The counting of votes for 5 states has begun, and early trends show that the Bhartiya Janata Party is going to win Uttar Pradesh yet again with a thumping majority, bypassing the Samajwadi Party's dream of forming a government. Entering the third hour on Thursday, trends show that the BJP might cross the 300 mark - the ambitious target set by the party for itself. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party is likely to create history by taking power in Punjab, and Bhagwant Mann could be the next Punjab CM. While it takes hours to get a clear picture of which party is winning in which state, usually, the early trends speak for the final results. Most of the exit polls had earlier predicted a clear win for the BJP in Manipur, and early trends show the same. There is a tough fight between the BJP and the Congress in Uttarakhand, but the trend is slowly shifting towards the BJP. For Goa, there is a clear lead of the Bhartiya Janata Party. Covid-Bulletin: India Registers 4,184 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 98.70%

According to the latest data released by the union health ministry, India has registered 4,184 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload of the country currently stands at 44,488. Meanwhile, daily recoveries continue to outnumber active covid-19 cases, with recording 6,554 recoveries in the previous 24 hours. The total recoveries have reached 4,24,20,120. The daily and weekly positivity rates currently stand at 0.48% and 0.58%, respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 77.60 crore covid-19 tests so far. The Biden administration recently warned that Russia might use chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine. However, two weeks into the war, Russia has achieved less and struggled more in the most extensive land conflict in Europe since the second world war.
