Delhi Commission for Women Chief Swati Maliwal Molested By A Drunk Man

The Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal was recently molested by a drunk man. In a video that has now gone viral, Swati Maliwal can be seen getting dragged by a man's car for 10-15 meters outside the AIIMS hospital with Swati's hand stuck in the car's window. The DCW Chief Swati Maliwal said she is inspecting the state of women's security in Delhi, especially after the Kanjhawala hit and drag case. Her inspection team was stationed at some distance when the man tried to drag Swati Maliwal. Tweeting about the incident, Swati Maliwal wrote: "Last night, I was inspecting the situation of women safety in Delhi. A car driver, in an inebriated condition, harassed me, and when I caught hold of him, he rolled up the windowpane on my hand and dragged me along. God saved my life. If the chairperson of the women's commission is not safe in Delhi, one can then imagine the situation," Issuing an official statement, DCW said: "The driver rolled down the window and asked her to sit in the car, but she refused. The man stared at her for sometime and left the spot but again approached her after a while. He again asked her to sit in his car, but she again refused. He started making lewd gestures towards her," "When she approached him to reprimand him, he made a vulgar gesture towards her. When she tried to catch hold of him, he rolled up the window, due to which Maliwal's hand got stuck in it. He then pressed the accelerator to drag her for several metres with the car. She somehow managed to escape," it further added. After Swati Maliwal narrated her ordeal, the police tracked the vehicle down and arrested its driver Harish Chandra. The Delhi women's panel chief also said during the inspection, she visited multiple places near Munirka, Mundka, Hauz Khaz and Kanjhawala, where she observed dark spots. Swati Maliwal further added that she stopped at several bus stops at night and observed the safety situation.  https://youtu.be/mhK-9IUqssc

Air India Submits Report to DGCA Over The Pee-Gate Incident

Tata-owned Air India submitted its reply to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in connection to the pee-gate incident. In the case, a passenger, identified as Shankar Mishra, urinated on a woman co-passenger during a New York-Delhi flight in November 2022. On January 6, the DGCA had issued a show cause notices to the director of in-flight services of Air India, the Accountable Manager of Air India and all the pilots and cabin crew members of that flight as to why no enforcement action should be taken against them for dereliction of their regulatory obligations. For fact-checking, DGCA sought a report from Air India. Upon reply from AI, prima facia, it is revealed that provisions related to the handling of an unruly passenger have not been complied with. On Thursday, Air India banned Shankar Mishra from flying for 4 months, and other airlines are also expected to ban him from flying once the aviation regulator comes out with its final decision on the matter.

Former J&K CM Farooq Abdullah: 'Terrorism is Alive, And it Will Not End Till India Starts Talking to Pakistan'

Former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah told reporters on Thursday: "I am going to give you in writing with my blood that terrorism is alive, and it will not end till you start talking to Pakistan. When you can talk to China, which has entered our borders and land 16 times, why are you shying away from talks with Pakistan," Further, he lashed out at the ruling party for spreading hatred which is a danger to the integrity of India. He said: "We have to make an attempt, but they (BJP government) are reluctant. They have to spread hatred to pitch Muslims and Hindus against each other for their vote bank. If hatred is not removed from the hearts of the people, there is a threat to the integrity of India." Commenting on the real plight of the Kashmiri Pandits, Mr Abdullah said: "A film (The Kashmir Files) was released to spread hate and use their plight to garner votes. They (BJP) have been shouting for their return and rehabilitation, but what happened? Even those who have been given jobs under the Prime Minister's package in Kashmir are facing a threat to their lives due to terrorism, but they do not see the danger to their lives," Adding further, he said that both Kashmiri Pandits and Muslims suffered since terrorism began in the Kashmir valley.  Also read: Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif: '3 wars with India introduced Poverty, Unemployment; Learnt our lesson'  https://youtu.be/Aeu_UKn0VEM
