He Will Kill Me, Cut Me Up In Pieces: Shraddha Walker Told Police Two Years Ago

The Shraddha Walker murder has shocked the entire nation. While the prime accused in the case, Aftab Poonawala, is in prison, the investigation is underway. Now, investigators said that Shraddha Walker had feared exactly what took place after two years and informed about the same in a complaint to Vasai police, Maharashtra. Shraddha had allegedly written the complaint to the cops after Aftab beat her up at a flat. She also added that Aftab's parents knew about his violent behaviour. The Delhi Police is currently verifying the complaint and any action that was taken by the Vasai cops. The letter read: "Today he tried to kill me by suffocating me, and he scares me and blackmails me that he will kill me, cut me up in pieces and throw me away. It's been six months he has been hitting me, but I did not have the guts to go to the police because he would threaten to kill me," The letter dated November 23, 2020, ties into what Shraddha told Karan (co-worker) over WhatsApp when she shared a photo of her bruised face. A week later, Shraddha was also admitted to a hospital with internal injuries. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police apparently have an alleged confession. However, it is not admissible on its own. For the unversed, Shraddha Walker was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, Aftab Poonawala, who also chopped her body into pieces and dumped it in a jungle in Delhi. https://youtu.be/IW6HAutoXmY

Gautam Adani's Vizhinjam Mega Port Project Stalled After Fishing Community Protest

The construction of Businessman Gautam Adani's ambitious Vizhinjam Mega Port project on the southern tip of India has been stalled by a Christian fishing community who have blocked the entrance. The $900 million project seeks to plug into the shipping trade flowing between manufacturers in the east and consumer markets in the west. The 1,200 square-foot shelter has roughly 100 plastic chairs with banners saying: 'indefinite day and night protest', while across the streets, port supporters, including BJP members and Hindu groups, have set up their structures. Although Kerala's top court has given repeated orders that construction should proceed without hinderance, the police are unwilling to take action against the protestors fearing that it may set a flame to social and religious tensions simmering over the port. The protest leaders have alleged that the construction of the port has resulted in significant erosion of the coast. They demand a halt to the construction and independent studies on the impact of the port's development on the marine ecosystem. However, the Adani group have said in a statement that the project is in full compliance with all laws and that many studies conducted in recent years have rejected allegations of the project's responsibility for shoreline erosion.  https://youtu.be/Qre_i-iykfU
