Harnaaz Sandhu From India Crowned Miss Universe 2021

The moment has finally arrived when India got the Miss Universe crown after a long wait of 21 years. India's Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned as the Miss Universe 2021 in Eilat, Israel. Miss Sandhu beat Paraguay's Nadia Ferreira and South Africa's Lalela Mswane to bag the 70th Miss Universe title. When the 21-year-old Chandigarh based model was asked, "What advice would you give to young women watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?" Miss Sandhu replied: "Well, I think the biggest pressure the youth of today is facing is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique and that's what makes you beautiful, stop comparing yourselves with others, and let's talk about more important things that's happening worldwide. I think this is what you need to understand. Come out, speak for yourself, because you are the leader of your life. You are the voice of your own [life]. I believe in myself, and that's why I'm standing here today. Thank you,"  Before Harnaaz Sandhu, the Miss Universe title has only been won by 2 Indians, one by Sushmita Sen in 1994 and the other by Lara Dutta in 2000.  https://twitter.com/MissUniverse/status/1470220584869154831?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1470220584869154831%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.indiatoday.in%2Flifestyle%2Fcelebrity%2Fstory%2Fharnaaz-sandhu-won-miss-universe-2021-crown-with-this-answer-to-the-final-question-1887139-2021-12-13 https://twitter.com/MissUniverse/status/1470227063789563907

Plans To Reform Urban Co-Operative Banks, Suggests PM, RBI Governor

On Sunday, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das hinted that the Reserve Bank of India is planning to bring some reforms in urban co-operative banks, which has majorly failed in recent times. The RBI Governor also warned people against depositing their money in banks that offer high returns. Mr Das said: "I would like to mention in all this is that the depositors themselves must also be very discerning. It is very important to keep in mind that higher returns are usually associated with higher risks. Just because a bank is offering higher interest, the depositors should be very careful in putting their money in chasing such high returns. I am not generalising. There are institutions that are offering higher interest rates which are viable, but depositors should always be very careful," PM Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also hinted at some reforms in the urban banking sectors.
