Covid Bulletin: India Records 25,072 Covid-19 Cases; Lowest In Around 5 Months

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, India has reported 25,072 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload of the country currently stands at 3,33,924, constituting 1.03% of total cases. Meanwhile, daily recoveries have outnumbered active covid-19 infections by a huge margin, with reporting 44,157 recoveries in the previous 24 hours. The total recoveries in the country stand at 3,16,80,626, with the recovery rate standing at 97.63%. The weekly positivity rate and the daily positivity rate stands at 1.91% and 1.94%, respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, India has conducted 50.75 crore covid-19 tests so far. Mumbai Reports 1st Covid-19 Death Since March 2020

Maharashtra and Delhi had been the worst hit covid-19 states during the second wave of the pandemic. Since the beginning of the second wave in March 2020, Mumbai has finally reported just one covid-19 death in the past 24 hours. During the worst times, Mumbai was recording as much as 136 covid-19 deaths in a single day. By June 2020, Mumbai had seen covid-19 deaths in triple digits but mostly saw daily deaths in two digits during the second wave. Apart from the daily death toll, the city has seen a declining trend in daily detection of covid-19 cases, hinting that the pandemic is slowly coming into control in the city. On Sunday, Mumbai recorded 4,141 covid-19 cases taking the total tally of Maharashtra to 64,24,651.

IMD predicts Moderate Rainfall, Thunderstorm In Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorm in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in the next two hours. BJP Endorses The Caste-wise Head Count Move, Seeking A Caste-Based Census

The Bhartiya Janata Party is too keen on seeking a caste-based census. Speaking about the same, Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader from Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi, said: "BJP has never been against caste census, that's why we have been a part of the resolution passed in the legislative assembly and legislative council on this issue," The all-party delegation meeting with Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to happen on Monday. The statement explains the reason for the Prime Minister giving record representation of the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) community in his cabinet and backing up for all India quota in medical courses. KGF 2 Release Date Out; Set To Have A Theatrical Release On 14th April 2022

The makers of the much-awaited film KFG: Chapter 2 have announced the release date of the film. KGF: Chapter 2, starring Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Srinidhi Shetty, will have a theatrical release on 14th April 2022. Shaili Singh Wins Silver At The World Athletics U20 Championships

India's long jumper Shaili Singh has won the silver medal in women's long jump at the World Athletics U20 Championships with a best attempt of 6.59m. Singh had bagged the gold medal but fell short by just 0.01m, and Sweden's Maja Askag won the gold with the best effort of 6.60m.
