Sources close to the development said: "We have conveyed to EU member states that India will institute a reciprocal policy for recognition of the EU Digital Covid Certificate. Private Hospitals To Place Orders Of Covid-19 Vaccines On CoWIN From Today

Starting today, private hospitals will have to procure covid-19 vaccine doses by placing an order on the CoWIN app. The central government has also imposed a maximum limit for all private hospitals to avoid wastage and manage the limited supply of covid-19 vaccines. To participate in the aggregation scheme, every private hospital will have to register themselves as a Private Covid Vaccination Centre (PCVC) on the CoWIN platform. The approval for the orders will be given on the CoWIN app, and payment will be made through the National Health Authority Portal (NHA). A statement from the Health Ministry said: "States and UTs will be informed by MoHFW about the total quantum of doses available for private CVCs in a month for them. They will aggregate the demand from private CVCs, keeping these quantities in mind," The monthly cap for every PCVC will be estimated on the basis of daily average consumption for any given week. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government recently made changes in India's vaccination policy by procuring 75% of covid-19 vaccine doses directly from the manufactures and then supplying it to states free of cost.
