Pandora Papers - Hidden Wealth Of Famous Personalities Exposed!

The 'Pandora Papers' released by the International Consortium Of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), the same organization that released the very famous 'Panama Papers', include the names of several prominent Indian personalities, including Anil Ambani, Kiran Shaw, Sachin Tendulkar etc. The Pandora Papers was released on 3rd October, which shed light on the hidden dealings of around 35 current and former national leaders, more than 330 politicians and public officials in more than 91 countries who have allegedly used offshore accounts to shield assets worth trillions of dollars. In its report, ICIJ said: "People linked by the secret documents to offshore assets include India's cricket superstar Sachin Tendulkar, pop music diva Shakira, supermodel Claudia Schiffer and an Italian mobster known as Lell the Fat One," The Associated Press also reported that some accounts were designed to conceal assets and evade taxes, among other shady reasons. Covid-Bulletin: India Registers 20,799 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 97.89%

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 20,799 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload of the country currently stands at 2,64,458, constituting 0.78% of the total covid-19 cases reported in the country so far. India's covid-19 active caseload stands the lowest in 200 days. Meanwhile, daily recoveries continue to outnumber new covid-19 cases, with recording 26,718 recoveries in the previous 24 hours. The total recoveries in the country stand at 3,31,21,247. The daily and weekly positivity rate currently stands at 2.10% and 1.63% respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 57.42 crore covid-19 tests so far. Lakhimpur Kheri Incident: Opposition Leaders Lashes Out At The Govt; Demands Resignation Of MoS For Home Affairs

The recent Lakhimpur Kheri incident took place after Samyukta Kisan Morcha, a body of several farm unions, alleged that son of Ajay Mishra Teni, Ashish Mishra Teni, came with 3 vehicles and mowed down farmers and also attacked SKM leader Tajinder Singh Virk by trying to run a vehicle over him. The farmers' group alleged that the incident occurred when the farmers were dispersing from their protest at the helipad. Ajay Mishra Teni is Minister of State for Home Affairs. After the incident, many opposition leaders, including Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, demanded the resignation of MoS for Home Affairs and also asked the central government to provide Rs 2 crores as ex-gratia and government jobs to farmers who got injured or died during the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. Speaking about the same, Mr Yadav said: "Even Britishers would not have committed the kind of atrocities this government is committing against farmers. MoS Home Ajay Mishra and Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya should resign. Rs 2 crores and government jobs should be given to next of kin of the farmers who lost their lives in the incident," Several opposition leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Bhupesh Baghel, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, are scheduled to visit Lakhimpur Kheri today. Punjab CM Channi Sent 10 Police Officers List To The UPSC For Appointment OF DGP

Congress leader Navjot Singh Sindhu and Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi held a meeting and discussed over setting up a coordination panel for prior consultation before any significant decisions taken by the state government. In the meeting, Mr Sidhu said that there is a need to change the State Police Chief and the Advocate General. Speaking to the media about the same, CM Channi said: "I have told Sidhu sahab, and he also knows that the names of the police officers who have completed 30 years in service have been sent to the Centre for the appointment of a DGP. We have sent the names, and the Centre will now send us a three-member panel for the selection of a regular DGP," "The party work is being looked after by Sidhu sahab. We should both work in coordination, and we are doing so. If anything is not being liked, then we have set up a coordination committee at the party forum where we can discuss it," added Mr Channi. The Punjab crisis grew more after Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned from the post of Punjab Congress Chief a few days ago. Mumbai Drug Bust Case: Along With SRK's Son Aryan Khan & 7 Others, NCB Takes Drug Supplier In Custody

The Narcotics Control Bureau, on Sunday, arrested Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan on charges of sale, consumption and purchase of narcotics drugs after the department conducted a raid on a rave party aboard a luxury cruise liner. Apart from Aryan Khan, 7 other youths, including Gomit Chopra, Vikrant Chhokar, Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chadha and Mohak Jaiswal, were also arrested. A drug supplier was also arrested after NCB conducted raids in Andheri, Bandra, and Lokhandwala areas of Mumbai. NCB recovered 22 pills of MDMA, 5 gms MD, 21 gms Charas and 13 gms of Cocaine. On Monday, all the accused will be produced before the court for judicial custody, and Aryan Khan's lawyer Satish Maneshinde is also gearing up to challenge the NCB action in the Bombay High Court.
