PM Modi Chairs The 13th BRICS Summit Virtually

The 13th BRICS summit happened virtually and was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting was attended by Chinese President Xi Jinping, Brazil President Jair Bolsanaro, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. The theme of BRICS chosen by India is BRICS at 15: Intra-BRICS Cooperation for Continuity, Consolidation and Consensus. PM Modi mentioned that despite the covid-19 pandemic, BRICS was able to organize over 150 meetings and events, out of which 20 were ministerial level. Recently, the first-ever BRICS Digital Health Conference was also organized, added PM Modi. While referring to the Afghanistan crisis, Russian President Vladimir Putin said: "Global security has faced serious challenges and system of strategic stability has gone all down hell. Covid-Bulletin: India Registers 34,973 Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 97.49%

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 34,973 covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload in the country currently stands at 3,90,646, constituting 1.18% of the total covid-19 cases reported in the country so far. Meanwhile, daily recoveries have outnumbered the active covid-19 cases with registering 37,681 recoveries in the previous 24 hours. The cumulative total of recoveries is at 3,23,42,299. The daily and weekly positivity rate stands at 1.96% and 2.31% respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 53.86 crore covid-19 tests so far. Weather Update: IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall In Parts Of UP, Haryana

According to the latest weather update given by the Indian Meteorological Department, parts of UP, Haryana, is likely to receive heavy rainfall. Taking to Twitter, IMD said: "10-09-2021; 0810 IST; Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of Moradabad, Rampur, Amroha(U.P.) Afghanistan: Taliban Carrying Out Manhunt In Panjshir And Killing Youths

As per the latest updates from Afghanistan, the Taliban group, which has formed the new government in Afghanistan, is carrying out a door-to-door manhunt in Panjshir province and killing youths. A person from the resistance force tweeted: "100s of family leaving their house after genocide happened last few days. #Taliban starts searching house to house, village to village and killing youths. The fact is We will continue to fight for our freedom. What is wrong with the world? No one react to this barbaric Taliban," On Thursday, during an interview with the AFP, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said: "We must maintain a dialogue with the Taliban, where we affirm our principles directly — a dialogue with a feeling of solidarity with the Afghan people. US Policies Towards Beijing Have Caused Serious Difficulties Says Xi Jinping 

On Friday, the state media of China reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping said that US policies towards Beijing have caused serious difficulties and putting the US-China ties back on track was critical while referring to his US counterpart. Citing Xi Jinping, state broadcaster CCTV reported: "Whether China and the US can properly handle their relations... is critical for the future and destiny of the world and this is a question of the century that both countries must answer," The ties between Beijing and Washington have strained in recent years due to a trade war between the two and America's stand on China's human rights track record. The disputes of origin of coronavirus have further worsened the situation.

India All Set For The 5th Test In Manchester Against England
