PM Modi To Launch 2 Customer-Centric Initiatives Of RBI Today

Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that he would be inaugurating two customer-centric initiatives of the Reserve Bank of India. PM Modi wrote: "At 11 AM tomorrow, 12th November, two innovative customer-centric initiatives of RBI would be launched. They are: RBI Retail Direct Scheme. Reserve Bank - Integrated Ombudsman Scheme. These schemes will benefit several of our citizens," Prime Minister will launch the initiatives via video conferencing. These initiatives are the Retail Direct Scheme and the Reserve Bank - Integrated Ombudsman Scheme. While the Retail Direct Scheme will provide access to the government securities market to retail investors and they can directly invest in securities issued by the state governments and the government of India, the Integrated Ombudsman Scheme aims to improve the grievance redress mechanism for customer complaints regarding entities regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. Covid-Bulletin: India Registers 12,516 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 98.26%

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, India has registered 12,516 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload of the country currently stands at 1,37,416, which is the lowest in 267 days. Meanwhile, daily recoveries have outnumbered new covid-19 cases with recording 13,155 recoveries in the previous 24 hours. The total recoveries in the country have reached 3,38,14,080. The daily and weekly positivity rate stands at 1.07% and 1.10%, respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 62.10 crore covid-19 tests so far. Chennai: Depression Crosses Tamil Nadu Coast; To Weaken Gradually 

On Friday, the Indian Meteorological Department took to Twitter and informed: "Depression over north coastal Tamil Nadu weakened into a Well Marked Low-Pressure Area over north Tamil Nadu and neighbourhood," The state of Tamil Nadu has been dealing with heavy to very heavy rainfall from the past few days with school, colleges being shut and rescue teams being deployed across all districts. However, the weather department said that the latest observations show that the depression that caused heavy rain have crossed the north Tamil Nadu coast and is expected to weaken gradually into a well-marked low-pressure area. Cut Ties With Terrorist Groups Says China, Pakistan, US, Russia To Taliban

On Thursday, China, Pakistan, the United States and Russia asked the Taliban to cut all forms of ties with all international terrorist groups, eliminate and dismantle them in a decisive manner. The 4 countries also asked the Taliban to deny space to any terrorist organization to operate from Afghanistan. Islamabad hosted the Troika Plus conference that was attended by special representatives Yue Xiaoyong (China), Zamir Kabulov (Russia) and Thomas West (The US). The Taliban side was represented by Interim Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi. As per the joint statement released after the conference, the 4 countries strongly condemned recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and also called on the Taliban to maintain a friendly approach towards neighbouring countries.
