Ending the brutal 20-year war, the US military finally completed its withdrawal process from Afghanistan. The war ended with the Taliban getting back in power in Afghanistan, although millions of dollars were spent on rebuilding the conflict-hit Afghanistan. On Monday, US General Kenneth McKenzie said: "I'm here to announce the completion of our withdrawal from Afghanistan and the end of the military mission to evacuate American citizens," "Tonight's withdrawal signifies both the end of the military component of the evacuation but also the end of the nearly 20-year mission that began in Afghanistan shortly after September 11th, 2001." added McKenzie. Covid-Bulletin: India Records 30,941 Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 97.53%

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 30,941 covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload of the country currently stands at 3,70,640. Meanwhile, daily recoveries have outnumbered active covid-19 cases, as India registered 36,275 fresh recoveries in the previous 24 hours. The total recoveries of India have climbed to a total of 3,19,59,680. The daily and weekly positivity rate currently stands at 2.22% and 2.51%, respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, India has conducted 52.15 crore covid-19 tests so far. India Has Administered Over 64.05 Covid-19 Vaccine Doses

Under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive, India has hit the milestone of administering over 64.05 crore covid-19 vaccines so far. In the last 245 hours, as many as 59,62,286 covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in India. The mark has been achieved through 68,50,464 sessions. Meanwhile, Kerala has been the most significant contributor in active covid-19 cases being reported across India. On Monday, Kerala reported 19,622 cases and 132 deaths. After Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan backing what the Taliban has done in Afghanistan, Pak cricketer Shahid Afridi has now come out in support of the Taliban and said that the group has come with a positive mind to power. Speaking to the media, Afridi said: "No doubt Taliban have come. But, they have come with a very positive mind. They're allowing ladies to work. They are allowing them to participate in politics. They are supporting cricket...and I believe the Taliban likes cricket a lot," Pakistan's PM Imran Khan also said that the Taliban group are not some military outfits but regular civilians.
