Kanjhawala Death Case: 7 People Involved, 10 Police Vehicles Deployed to Trace Killer Vehicle

In the latest turns of events, the Delhi Police's Special CP (L&O) Sagar Preet Hooda told the media that a total of 7 people were involved in the Kanjhawala death case. He said: "During interrogation, we also got to know that the car was driven by Amit and not by Deepak. Two others- Ashutosh and Ankush Khanna have also been made the accused in this case. We are trying to arrest them. During the post-mortem, no evidence of sexual assault was found," "We have arrested 5 accused, and we are interrogating them. During interrogation, we found that two more people are involved in the incident. Our team is conducting raids. We have recorded the statement of the eyewitness," added Sagar Preet Hooda. The Kanjhawala death case has been making dramatic twists since it came to light on January 1 2023. The Delhi police said there is no pre-accident connection between the accused and the victim, Anjali. Meanwhile, the deceased's friend, identified as Nidhi, said that Anjali was in a drunken state when the car hit the scooty and dragged Anjali for 12 kilometres from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala. However, Anjali's family has denied all claims made by Nidhi. As per sources, Delhi Police had deployed as many as 10 vehicles, including night patrolling units and PCR vans but failed to trace the killer Baleno car on the same night. Later, the 20-year-old's body was found in outer Delhi's Kanjhawala. Due to dense fog and low visibility, various PCR callers couldn't give the registration number of the car. However, with the help of a camera with an automatic number plate reader in the Kanjhawala area helped police to reach the owner of the offending vehicle.  https://youtu.be/Fu2NDw59OBg

Air India Imposes a Flying Ban On Passenger Who Peed on Co-Passenger in New York-Delhi Flight

Tata-owned airline Air India has imposed a flying ban against a passenger who urinated on a co-passenger during a flight from New York to Delhi and walked off without facing any disciplinary action. An FIR has been filed against the passenger, and the police have also formed several teams to capture the unnamed passenger. The incident took place in November last year after which the airline officials set up an internal probe panel. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has sought a report from Air India over the incident. Separately, The National Commission for Women has also written to Air India Chairman N Chandrasekaran. As per reports, the elderly woman had complained to the crew. They only gave the victim a set of pyjamas and slippers and asked her to return to her seat, claiming no other seat was available. Apparently, the man didn't move until another passenger asked him to. "We have also constituted an internal committee to probe lapses on part of Air India's crew and address the deficiencies that delayed quick redressal of the situation," said a statement from Air India. https://youtu.be/5X9TA07hnYE

On Thursday, the cold wave in Delhi got more brutal as the capital recorded the season's lowest temperature of 3 degrees Celsius. As bone-chilling winds from the snow-capped Himalayas hit the plains, people in the city were reported to have confined themselves to the comforts of their homes. Delhi's primary weather station, the Safdarjung observatory, logged a temperature of 3 degrees celsius against 4.4 degrees celsius on Wednesday. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert (be prepared) for Delhi-NCR for Thursday and Friday.
