Liz Truss To Take Oath As UK PM; Her Key Cabinet To Not Have Any White Man!

After weeks of campaigning for the post of Prime Minister, the day of celebration finally came for UK leader Liz Truss.  Truss of British Conservative Party became the next Prime Minister of United Kingdom. With her victory, Truss will take over at a time when the country has been struggling with a number of issues, including the cost of living crisis, industrial unrest, and recession.  https://twitter.com/trussliz/status/1566752887857991680 Now, as per the invitation of Queen Elizabeth II, Liz Truss will travel to Balmoral Castle, Scotland, to form a new government. In an official ceremony at the queen's palace, she will take the oath as the new UK Prime Minister and announce her cabinet. Truss secured the top position after weeks of tough competition with opposition candidate, ex-finance minister Rishi Sunak. According to sources, the announcement triggered the start of the administration handover from Boris Johnson. Earlier, in July, Boris Johnson was forced to resign after losing trust within his own party.

No White Man Cabinet of Liz Truss

As learnt from the sources, Liz Truss is expected to appoint James Cleverly as foreign secretary, Suella Braverman as home secretary, and Kwasi Kwarteng as chancellor.  It is important to note here that Indian-origin Rishi Sunak will not get any role in Liz Truss's cabinet. The absence of Rishi Sunak from the newly formed cabinet will break the tradition where runner-up candidates have got an appointment into the cabinet. Notably, for the first time in Britain's history, no white man will be there in any of the 4 great offices of the country. This decision will mark the non-racist shift of the country's position in the political arena.
