Angus Cloud, highly acknowledged for his role in Euphoria (an HBO Series), has left this physical world. He was just a 25-year old guy. There is no revelation on the cause of his death. His family has issued a statement that discloses Angus Cloud’s struggles with his stress caused by the loss of his father in the previous week. Angus Cloud - Who Was He?

Angus Cloud, highly popular for his role as Fezco, a loveable drug dealer on Euphoria, ended his Hollywood career. Being a native of Oakland in California, Angus Cloud never wanted to be an actor. He was picked up from the sidewalk of New York City and asked to cast in the new teen drama of HBO, Euphoria. It was Jennifer Venditi, a casting director, who picked up Angus Cloud. After the screening of the first episode of this drama in June 2019, he secured a place among the biggest heartthrobs and sensations across the USA. He was only 23 years old at that time. His romance with his costar, Maude Apatow’s lexi, is one of the most talked about stories. Fans were always excited to know what would happen next after each week.  

Disclosure of Angus Cloud’s Death  

On 1 August 2023, his sudden death came out as a shock to his fans and the entire entertainment industry. His family disclosed his demise in a statement which cites, "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today." The statement further states, Cloud buried his father last week, according to family, and was in a "battle with mental health". "The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. 

The family statement disclosed to different media channels revealed his family saying, “We hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence." Until the composition and publication of this news article, the cause of Angus Cloud’s death has not been disclosed by his family members. As per Cloud’s Instagram post published two weeks ago, he was missing his father a lot. The Instagram post cites “miss u breh.”

In a statement on his death, HBO says, "We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and 'Euphoria' family."

Angus Cloud - His Birth and Early Life

Angus Cloud came into this world on 10 July 1998. His birthplace is Oakland in California in the USA. After formal school education, he enrolled himself into a course at the Oakland School for the Arts. At the same time, his co-star, Zendaya, attended the same school. In his interview with the Wall Street Journal in 2019, he said, “We had some of the same friends I guess, but I didn’t really know her.”

• Euphoria Casting was a Scam - Angus Cloud studied technical theater and he did not want to be a professional actor. As per his interview with GQ, he was walking on the sideroad on a random day in New York City when a casting agent requested him to read scripts for a television show. In the interview, he says, “I was confused and I didn’t want to give her my phone number. I thought it was a scam.” However, Angus Cloud gave his contact details to the casting director, Jennifer Venditi, and landed a role of Frezco in the HBO TV series Euphoria. 

• His First Role as Frezco in Euphoria - As per his CV, he has many upcoming projects in his hand like The Line and Your Lucky Day. Before his pick up for a role of Frezco in Euphoria, he had no knowledge of acting before a camera. In his interview with GQ, he states, “I’m like, ‘I don’t know what I am doing”.   

• His work in a restaurant - Before becoming famous as Frezco from the episodes of Euphoria, he was living a very simple life. He worked at a chicken-and-waffle restaurant, which is close to the Barclays Center, and lived in Brooklyn in New York.  He visited New York City from California to see his friends. 

• Similarity in his personality and role in Euphoria - As per his role, Frez is a high school dropout who becomes a drug dealer. In almost each circumstance, he is calm and level-headed.
