All Is Not Well Between Virat Kohli And BCCI; Virat Fans Bash Sourav Ganguly

The reports of Virat Kohli stepping down as India's T20 captain and Rohit Sharma taking his position has been going around for a while now, and the same was done recently.  However, the news of Virat Kohli stepping down as India's ODI captain as well has not gone down well with Virat fans. Netizens have reacted quite sharply to the decision of the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) and have started the online bashing of BCCI president and former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly.  The most upsetting thing for Virat fans was how BCCI informed about the news. Taking to Twitter, the official handle of BCCI wrote: "The All-India Senior Selection Committee also decided to name Mr Rohit Sharma as the Captain of the ODI & T20I teams going forward." While some fans have welcomed the decision, others have been disturbed by the news of BCCI sacking Virat Kohli and not even mentioning any of his accomplishments as team India captain.  https://twitter.com/BCCI/status/1468577752953483264 While Virat Kohli himself stepped down as India's T20 captain due to his workload, BCCI's decision of sacking him as India's ODI captain has not gone done well with Virat Kohli too. If reports are to be believed, BCCI had asked Virat to step down voluntarily, but when the cricketer refused to do so, the organization decided to sack him and make Rohit Sharma India's new ODI captain. Sources close to the development hinted that Virat Kohli was given 48 hours by BCCI to step down as ODI captain before the beginning of the South African tour. However, Virat insisted on staying the ODI skipper, which did not go down well with the BCCI bosses, and they decided to splash the whip.  Well, it seems like Virat Kohli lost his captaincy, Just Like That! The tension is brewing up between Virat Kohli and the BCCI. That can be seen from the fact that BCCI did not even mention Kohli's name in the official Twitter announcement, let alone his achievements as Indian cricket team captain. As per some reports, the decision of replacing Virat Kohli was in the offing for a long time, and team India's latest defeat at the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 just gave BCCI another reason to oust Virat Kohli.  However, after BCCI faced a backlash on Twitter, they decided to undo the damage by posting about Virat Kohli's achievement. https://twitter.com/BCCI/status/1468919777120829441 Virat Kohli is yet to react to the news.
