IPL 2022: The Biggest Flop Show In The History of IPL


This season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) has not been as great as the previous ones. The ones who were supposed to perform well, from Virat Kohli to Rohit Sharma were not in their forms. Hence, all the teams of IPL 2022 have come out as a disappointment.  Here's the list of players who have been the biggest flop show of IPL 2022

Mohammed Siraj – Royal Challengers Bangalore 

Mohammed Siraj, Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer, has been a huge disappointment this year, claiming only 8 wickets from 13 games. Moreover, Siraj has an economy rate of 9.82 as well. 

Venkatesh Iyer – Kolkata Knight Riders 

Kolkata Knight Riders’ all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, one of the star performers of IPL 2021, only scored 182 runs in 12 matches at an average of just over 16 and failed to get even a single wicket in the 2022 season.

Ravindra Jadeja – Chennai Super Kings

Ravindra Jadeja was the appointed captain of Chennai Super Kings but had to give it up midway through IPL 2022 season because of his poor form in the game. He only scored 116 runs and picked 5 wickets out of 10 matches before leaving early due to injury. 

Mayank Agarwal – Punjab Kings

Mayank Agarwal, captain of Punjab Kings failed to lift his team into the Playoffs. He only managed 196 runs in 13 games with a top score of 52. 

Virat Kohli – Royal Challengers Bangalore 

Royal Challengers Bangalore may have pressed into the Playoffs but this season was a disappointment for the former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli. He scored 73 runs in the last league match. Still, he had only 309 runs from 14 matches at an average of 23 overs. 

Rohit Sharma – Mumbai Indians 

Being IPL champions for five times, Mumbai Indians finished dead last on the IPL 2022 Points Table. Skipper Rohit Sharma failed to blast; he scored only 268 runs from 14 matches this year. 

Ajinkya Rahane – Kolkata Knight Riders 

Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Ajinkya Rahane's IPL 2022 ended early due to a hamstring injury. Before the injury, Rahane only scored 144 runs from 7 matches this IPL.
