IPL Update: The Match Between Rajasthan Royals And Punjab Kings
Rajasthan Royals are going to begin their journey in this season’s IPL on Monday. They will be facing Punjab Kings at Wankhede Stadium and it is certainly going to be another high voltage contest. The team management of Rajasthan Royals has changed their captain this season. Now it will be interesting to see how this team performs under the leadership of young wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson.

On the other hand, Punjab Kings will hope to start the tournament with a good note. In the previous season, the start of the tournament has been really poor for them. Their resurgence of form at the back end of the tournament has caused a lot of problems for the other teams in contention for the top four. Few things have gone wrong for them in the previous season and the management has tried to rectify those mistakes in the auction table. Have they been able to find the solution? We have to wait few more hours to get the answer.

Status Of The Teams:
Rajasthan Royals are certainly going to miss their star fast bowler Jofra Archer in first few matches of the tournament. Jofra Archer has been phenomenal for them in the previous season. He has gone with a rate of under six runs per over in the power play which is an absolute gem. The other bowlers of Rajasthan Royals have gone with a rare of almost 10+ runs per over in the first six overs of the match. So, it is quite an impossible task to replace him in this side. The management might go with Andrew Tye or Mustafizur Rahman in this match.
The management has invested a lot on Chris Morris in the auction table this season. So, there will be a huge expectation from him to deliver. Chris Morris’ record in the death overs is certainly impressive in last few years. So, his addition in the side will certainly strengthen them. Eoin Morgan has told in a press conference that Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler will be opening the innings for Rajasthan Royals in this season’s IPL. Sanju Samson is expected to bat at number three position. After that, there is not much batting options left for the Royals. They will have to rely on the likes of Riyan Parag, Shivam Dube and Mahipal Lomror to deliver for them this season.

Predicted Starting XI:
Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (WK), Sanju Samson (C), Mahipal Lomror, Riyan Parag, Shivam Dube, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Shreyas Gopal, Andrew Tye, Kartik Tyagi.
Punjab Kings will be backing their top four players in the batting lineup to deliver for them throughout the whole season. The only problem of this team is lack of all rounders who can change the course of the game at any moment. So, they might opt to go with six proper batsmen and five proper bowlers in the first match of the tournament. Jhye Richardson is going to play a big role for them in this season.
Predicted Starting XI:
Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul (C and WK), Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Deepak Hooda, Shahrukh Khan, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith, Ravi Bishnoi, Murugan Ashwin, Mohammed Shami.
