In early summer, especially May is the perfect time to travel from your homes to the hill stations for a pleasant feeling, to feel the winter cold and to beat the summer heat. Tawang

This picturesque city Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh is at an altitude of 9,000 feet and is surrounded by the Himalayan mountains. Pachmarhi is the only hill station in Madhya Pradesh, and is considered one of the best places to visit in May in India. Located in the foothills of Satpura in the lowlands, Pachmarhi is a green blanket of high peaks and ravines. Marked by prehistoric caves carved out of spectacular cliffs, and spectacular waterfalls, Pachmarhi is a landmark of exquisite natural beauty that paints the required trails for hiking and trekking. Located in Himachal Pradesh with the stunning backdrop of the Himalayan ranges, Dharamshala is adorned with holiness. ‘Mini Tibet’ in its time, Dharamshala is the seat of the Tibetan government in exile in India. The colorful Tibetan prayer flags are a defining feature of this hospitable city. The village is a stop- over to the more aesthetically appealing counterpart, McLeod Ganj. Ooty 

Adorned with the charm of the Colonies, Ooty is a delightful mountain town surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Nilgiri. Gulmarg 

One of the most beautiful places to visit in May, Gulmarg is adorned with lush flowering meadows. Located in Jammu and Kashmir, this mountain range rises to a height of 1,600 feet above sea level and is surrounded by mighty Himalayan mountains on all sides. The area has rich cultural heritage, and has been a popular summer destination since the beginning of the Mughal period and some of the colonial interference during the British Rule. Mount Abu 

The only mountain station in Rajasthan, Mount Abu is one of the best places to visit in May. Mount Abu climbs to the top of a granite peak and is surrounded by lush tropical forests of the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary, which is rich in unusual flora and fauna. The mountain town is a refreshing oasis in the hot summer sun of northwestern India and is a popular tourist destination. With over 80 intricately carved temples, as well as the beloved Jain temples of Delwara, Mount Abu is a shrine to Jains and Hindus.
