Yoga Postures For Beginners For Reducing Belly Fat

  • Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)

Bhujangasana can be one of the best yoga asanas to reduce belly. It also eases tensions from your lower back. Moreover, it is super easy to perform. You can practice it using the following steps: 
  1. Lie down on your stomach and place your hands next to your shoulders. 
  2. Stretch out your legs backward with the top side of your feet touching the floor. 
  3. Once you are ready, inhale and lift your chest up while using your palms for support. 
  4. Only your pelvic and the lower body remain on the floor in a straight line. 
  5. Hold the posture for 30 seconds. You can start with 10 seconds, too, if it's uncomfortable initially. 
  6. Exhale and release to come back on your stomach. 
  • Naukasana (Boat Pose) 

Naukasana is miraculously effective for weight loss and strengthens the core. It is a great posture that can be practiced regularly. As a beginner, you can apply variations, and as you build strength, you can go for an advanced version. 
  1. Lie down on the floor facing up. 
  2. Maintain your shoulders relaxed and hands on the sides. 
  3. Slowly raise your legs and hands together while keeping your belly tight. 
  4. You can keep your legs closer to the floor if you are a beginner and raise it higher as you build more strength. 
  5. Hold the posture for 20 seconds as a beginner, and later you can increase it to 30, 45, and 60 seconds.
