NEET 2022 Exam Postponed? What’s The Date Now?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) might again postpone the medical entrance exam – NEET 2022. The NEET 2022 application deadline was extended to May 20. Earlier the application process was scheduled to be held on May 6. However, there has been no change in the exam date yet. NEET 2022 exam is scheduled for July 17 as of now.

The NTA claimed that the deadline was postponed so that more BSc nursing students can fill the form. Earlier, the exam was being held only for MBBS and BDS courses, but now it has been extended further to nursing courses as well.  “In view of the request received from the Office of Director General Armed Forces Medical Services, it has been decided to further extend the last date for submission of application Forms of NEET (UG) – 2022,”

The NEET scores will be accepted by as many as six armed forces medical services (AFMS). This includes the College of Nursing at AFMC Pune, CH Kolkata, INHS Mumbai, AH New Delhi, CH Lucknow, and Bangalore. The number of seats offered by these institutes is 220.

  • NEET 2022 consists of 200 MCQs, each having four options with a single correct answer.
  • The exam will be divided into three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology).
  • Each subject will have 50 questions which will further be divided into two sections.
  • The exam duration will be 3 hours and 20 minutes.
  • The exam will be held from 2 PM to 05:20 PM.
  • The exam will have negative marking, i.e. one mark will be subtracted for one wrong answer.
  • To clear NEET, students need to score at least 50 percent.

Meanwhile, NEET aspirants wants that the NEET UG exam date 2022 should be in August. After a sequel of online protests, a section of students have also started an online petition seeking a postponement.
