The Bollywood industry is facing a lot these days. With the release of every new film, there emerges a new boycott trend. And filmmakers are now worried about it.  Different stars have different opinions on the boycott trend. Some of them are expressing their thoughts openly, while others are keeping it to themselves, because may be they don’t want to be the next target. In this context, Arjun Kapoor expressed his views and said something that might add fuel to the fire.  Recently, Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan, and Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha faced the backlash on social media. Shockingly, the boycott trend showed results on the box office collection of both these films. Some people from the entertainment industry feel that no boycott trend can hamper the performance of a good film, while some of them are of the view that Bollywood should come up and speak against this negative trend. 

Highlights Of Arjun Kapoor’s Recent Interview

Arjun Kapoor said during an interview that the Hindi film industry has made a mistake by staying silent about the boycott culture. He further added, “It was our decency that we remained silent on such cancel culture, but now people are taking an advantage of the same. I think we made a mistake by believing that our work will speak for us”. He says, when films perform well at the box office, it is because of the story and not because of the actor who has worked in the film.

Meanwhile, after Raksha Bandhan and Laal Singh Chaddha, Netizens are now targeting Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan and Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra. Both these films are big budget ventures, and if they don’t perform well, it will be a huge loss for the film industry.
