1. Sushant Singh Rajput
21st January 1986 – 14th June 2020
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death was the most controversial and tragic death of 2020. The actor’s fans are still trying to cope up with the untimely demise. Sushant had an ultra successful career with movies like MS Dhoni, Kai Po Che, Sonchiriya, Kedarnath and Chhichhore. After his death, his film Dil Bechara based on the very famous book “The fault in our stars” was released on Disney + Hotstar. Famous for his acting skills and TV serial, Pavitra Rishta, the actor was considered to be very hardworking and a talented newbie. Sushant Singh, aged 34 years, was found dead at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The post mortem stated hanging as the cause of death.
2. Irrfan Khan
7 January 1967 – 29 April 2020
Sahabzade Irrfan Ali Khan is the most talented actor that Bollywood had ever seen. Khan’s career spanned over 30 years and has delivered some memorable roles in films like Maqbool, Life in a Metro, Paan Singh Tomar, Slumdog Millionaire, The Lunch Box, Piku, Hindi Medium and Angrezi Medium. The actor also starred in the Internationally acclaimed movie Life of Pi. The versatile actor was known for his unconventional roles. Irrfan is regarded as the powerhouse of talent. In 2018, he was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumour, he fought the battle with courage but died due to a colon infection, aged 53 years.
3. Rishi Kapoor
4th September 1952 – 30th April 2020
The Veteran Kapoor actor is regarded as one of the most successful star of Bollywood. Rishi Raj Kapoor belonged to the Kapoor family of B-town. He married Female actor, Neetu Kapoor and the couple is still considered the most romantic couple of Bollywood. Rishi Kapoor has 118 movies to his credit. His performances in movies like Karz, Bobby, Hum Kisise Kum Naheen and Kapoor And Sons are outstanding. The actor lost his life due to cancer, he fought the disease for 2-years and finally breathed his last in Mumbai, aged 67 years.
4. Saroj Khan
22nd November 1948 – 3rd July 2020
Saroj khan’s real name was Nirmala Nagpal, she hails as the first woman choreographer in Bollywood. She choreographed female actors like Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi, which are still fresh in people’s memory. Master ji’s best work includes famous songs from the movies like Mr. India, Chandni,.Khalnaayak, Tezaab and Beta. There was a time when Saroj khan used to rule the Bollywood industry before the young choreographers came in. She died, aged 71, due to Cardiac arrest.
5. Jagdeep
29th March 1939 – 8th July 2020
Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jaffrey, popularly known as Jagdeep is famous for his comic timing. The actor ruled the Indian Cinema with his comedic roles. He appeared in more than 400 films and gave some memorable performances in movies like Sholay, Shahenshah,Andaaz Apna Apna and China Gate. Bollywood’s favorite comedian died in Mumbai, aged 81, due to age-related issues.
